Or is this concept old by now? :)
i prefer 60/30/10, using veggies as primary carb source after 4pm.
i dont purposely seek insulin spikes, i dont want to desensitise myself from sugar. get your starchy carbs in all the way up to your post workout meal, then use fibrous afterwards till bed.

I think ive gained 4-5lbs of weight within 4-5 days using creatine!

60/30/10?!

55/30/15, if you want to keep fat at a minimum. fat isnt bad if you're sensible. Even saturated fat is good, in moderation. I'm on a 55/30/15 and it's going well. 500 carbs is taking the piss though.

40/40/20 is a cutting diet. No doubt about it - unless you're eating about 490carbs. In either case, thats a silly amount of protein.

So a ratio of like 60/30/10 carbs/prot/fat, would be more anabolic then say 40/40/20 right?
Depends. It's more sensible and obtainable. Plus you're often wasting protein on 40/40/20.

Agreed, but I still throw some sugar, caffine and starchy carbs into my post workout meal :)

20 lbs of actual muscle will probably take anywhere up to a year, if you do it right. But then again, if you're not eating right, maybe longer than a year. Dont buy into this 'I gained 10lbs of muscle on my new 12 week bulking diet!' crap. Everyone on the net seems to... lie... about their gains. Still makes me laugh about the guy on bodybuilding that said he'd been gaining 10lbs of muscle every 13 weeks for the last 3.5 years. :D

WEEK 2

Date: 27 - September - 2004

Current Weight: 153lbs (Approx.)

Weight Gained: +6lbs

Problems Faced over Past Fortnight: Not lifting heavy enough weights. Doing reps of 8+.

Solution: Buy a few new 10kg plates. Also have to purchase an EZ Reverse Curl Bar.

Body Changes?: None really (looks wise), triceps are a slight bit more defined. Shoulders look a slight bit fuller.

Cheers Lifeforce, unfortunately though I think the gains are all temporary due to me taking creatine.

Working on legs today!

Hey lifeforce,

It;s going ok I guess, i weigh myself every 2nd monday so no updates til this day week! :)

Basically the programme coonsists of 3 workout days (monday wednesday and friday for me - like weekends off!):

Day 1 - Tris, Chest, Shoulders

Day 2 - Legs

Day 3 - Biceps, Back, Forearms

4 Sets for most excercises: Set 1: 6-8 Reps (before failure), Set 2: 4 - 6, Set 3: 2 - 4, Set 4: 1 - 2. Then for some workouts there are supersets and/or burnouts.

Im outta Myopro Whey AGAIN! Bought a tub two weeks ago and another 33euro tomorrow to buy a new tub! :( Might just buy Prolabs N LARGE 2 from now on - cheaper and u get more! :)

Looks like your on the right track; only thing i'd drop is the n-large 2 as it's just whey protein and ground up whole grains - unless of course you've got the funds it - may be better to throw some oatmeal in the blender instead.

Hey lucid and lifeforce.

Well im not actually on the N large at the moment, im on Myopro Whey.

Heres the lowdown on why i might switch back to n large - you get 2.5kgs of the stuff for 48euro over here in ireland (working out and supps arent at all popular over here!) while 900g of Myopro Whey is 33euro - thats three times as much n large for 15euro more than a 900g tub of myopro - follow?! :)

Im not on EAS Myopro coz ellis says so, its the only QUALITY product my health food shop stocks, its either that or 'Nutrisport Whey' which is dodgy, i think! :)

Next update on monday, thanks for the interest!

Well i'm on dalbalds nutrition whey, the cheapest one I could find. (94% whey isolat) :) I'm still growing, the stuff about quality whey is just bull IMO, they tell you that they do micronisiod, ion bladder, exchange doid elextrylyt up clintons ass and this is much better than ordninary whey. It's just protein! The quality is the amount of protein in %.

Anyways, it is up to you what you buy, but don't buy too much into the commercial stuff.

No prob, nothing gives more motivation than people trying to reach a goal. Happy bulking :)

Hey lifeforce,

Actually you made a good point there, i might look into that Nutrisport Whey, it was a bigger tub than the EAS one and only 21 euro. Hmmm...

PS - anyone try the myopro whey chocolate? I went to my health food shop today hoping to get the strawberry one (mmm) but they were all out. I had to choose between the banana (dont wanna go there) or the choc (which ive had before) - the chocolate tastes ROTTEN! but i suppose i gotta take it! :) For such an expensive whey protein it tastes horrible. :(

There are some big differences with whey these days. My local shop has started selling a type of whey which is mixed with other proteins. Good stuff too.

Whey is just whey, but you want to get a good amount of protein in it. Some companies have been known to lie about the amount of protein in there.

Silverwex, seeing as you are from ireland you should check out the ministry of fitness website : www.theministryoffitness.com

They do free delivery and I find their prices wuite good for a good quality product.

I'll also post my bulking on this thread to keep myself motivated if you don't mind. I started about a month ago but then after a good bit of time wasting I really started into it last tuesday when my creatine arrived. I was in the gym yesterday for the first time in months (I've been working out at home previously to get myself iback into shape for the heavy stuff) and I'm sooo sore today. The muscles on my neck, arms, abs, and pecs have all been totalled and are killing me, despite the fact that I didn't think I'd put in too much of a workout. But hey, I think the creatine helps me go harder than I think I'm going.

Current weight = 158.5 lbs
