Should I persue this?

Well I've been talking to this girl in my psyc class for about 2 weeks now, and things are going good. I always walk her to her next class, and make her laugh a lot. Today she casually brings up that me she met some guy at a supermarket, and he asked for her number. She gave it too him and went to his house and talked for 4 hours. I don't know what to think of this, who the hell talks outside untill 5am. I was going to ask her out friday but I'm not sure now. Any advice?

U ought to have got some vibes from her at this point but since you didn't notice lets pretend these things don't exist right now. You might as well ask her out on a date anyway. If she says yes then your in luck

Just the fact that they talked for four hours gives you a step up--if you, have in fact, not told that much about yourself--or at least left a lot of little details out.

If they talked for four hours, they will soon run out of stuff to talk about, and he will be as AFC as they come.

What is the worst that could happen by you asking her out on a date? From your post, she didn't say he was her boyfriend, she just said he has her number--no harm, no foul. Even if that was the case, you could still ask just to see what her body language and facial expression would be like--to see if there is a chance for you at all.

She met this guy at the store and within a couple he ended up at her house for 4 hours. What that means is take a chance and stop chit chatting to her for another week. If he could move ahead that fast so can you. He has already proven that it's not that hard to make a connection with this girl. Ask her out!
