Yes you should put it there.

Why not? Are you that insecure?

it has nothign to do with insecurity and everything of not starting arguments for the sake of starting arguemetns..

I'm secure in my penis size.. should I go out side and walk around butt ass naked because of it, just getting an air dry? No, because it will cause uncalled for problems that can be prevented by wearing draws.

I never did like dating sites...if I were to do one It would be as blank as I could possibly leave everything.. there is no mystery and waht's thef un in that?

That's taking it to extremes.

That's like saying if I state I'm an atheist, I also insult God in massive block letters on the top of the page.

I'm saying not to worry so much about what other people will think, he said himself that he doesn't want to scare people away. Don't worry about that.

I seriously doubt people will find it any less attractive. My mate stated he was atheist and managed to pull a catholic chick over MySpace.

dont' worry about what people think, but just becuase you don't care what people think... why start something when it's not necessary?

Trust me, coming from a fellow athiest..it's not worth it. it has nothing to do with security, it has everything to do with getting random emails from bible thumpers, having at least 1-2 long drawn out pointless converastions wtih people who are trying to "save me from the devil", my EX tried to read me a passage from the bible and I, the atheist, had to show her where it was at.

Then the women that don't freak out.. it will come up in a converation within a week's time, if for no other reason she has nothing to talk about and it seems "interesting enough", and will pry utnil she figures out what "changed you" then try to pry and see are you a crazy *******.

again, I"m not crazy, I just dont' beleive in god. however, I don't go out of my way to show I'm an athiest.. I'm not looking for converts or anything... just trying to keep the peace.

I used to be the guy.. I'm atheist and i'm proud guy... Every freakin other day.. someone somewhere. my best friend plays the piano for his church.. we staye dup to 7am one night talking about the bible... i had to cancel a date.

relgious people have no idea how much they get on atheists nerves.. if it werent' for this crap I wouldn't have a problem. I can even deal with you thinking I'm gone in the head.

what i can't deal with is the inconvenience of my life trying to defend myself... and usually I let it slide.. until they keep provoking you... because all they are trying to do is prove to themselves.. it has little to do with me

You do have a point there. I feel sorry for the gay atheist out there who need to prove that their lifestyle isn't a choice...

Speaking of penis size, Backbreaker, guys on dating sites are notorious for sending unsolicited c0ck pictures. So you're not even exaggerating.

Much like bringing up c0ck size, mentioning your religion doesn't really belong on a facebook profile for everybody to see, unless you're a real activist.

It certainly takes a lot of guts to let the cat out of the bag, when most folks hold bags with cats. But dropping that bag sure does lower the weight load. I speak from experience.

I could say I'm Satan come down from earth, and if i delivered it correctly, I think I could still pull my fair share of chicks.

its funny how true that is. A couple of months back the big thing in the news was this cuban ex drugg lord who claimed he was Jesus and he had tons of followers and tons of hot beeotches

Yeah, if you're looking for a serious relationship you should bring it up. Otherwise don't bother, religion is one of those topics to bring up if you want to make someone angry at you. And don't let yourself fall into the stereotype of the bitter, cold, angry at the world atheist.

Putting your religious views on facebook/myspace is fine as well. I know a very popular person who is openly atheist. Just don't bring it up in conversation with people. It's generally a bad idea.

http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/godfuse.html illustrates this. You come off as just as arrogant to the religious fanatics as they come off to you. I would come up just as arrogant if I went around preaching my religious views (I'm a hard agnostic).

Put something clever or funny. Or leave it blank. Or put "I HATE GOD!" in. (Bonus points if you spell it as "I H8 GOD!")

bro you're lame, how is that going to help him network or attract girls. Its ok to say you're atheist and be intellectual about it but its another to flame on God (which majority of the world "believes" in)

Normally I'd say yeah, but with all the Christain bigots there are in America, you might want to keep that to yourself. The fact that you can believe in any religion you want in America is bullcrap, it's a nation dominated by Christian values. I'm an Athiest myself.

You're thick in the head if you don't see both the humor in that statement, and that I was joking. Do you actually take facebook or whatever seriously? :kick:

Plus, who cares what the world believes in? Most people are idiots.

Not really, im pretty open minded, i just fail to see where the humor was (yes i get that he's an atheist and thus has no belief in god so its a so-to-say oxymoron) but still i fail to see the humor

it depends what ppl use their fcbk for, one reason that i started an account is because of the networking it has and thus i must take it serious, i write vital information and have vital business connections. ( i have an import business)

As for your last statement :moon: girls in my high school class had that written in their aim profiles...couldn't you come up with anything more original

As for you my atheist friend in question, just put it down as your view, from my experience most ppl are monotheist ("because they were born that way") yet consider themselves agnostic. The only problem with religious views is that when discussed battles, and arguments occur. You should stand up for what you believe in at the time of need but im sure you know, if you're out on a date try not to speak of such stuff unless she is totally interested. Political and religious talks always turns ppl completely off and brings at times hatred and rage towards each other (IMO).

"May the forces of luck be with you"
(lol my atheist friend always told me this)

Fvck it, I'm not going to let Christians push me around. I will openly say that I do not believe in Mr. Jeezy Bits. If they want to run around and openly preach to me about my evil lifestyle. I will run around and tell them I am Pastafarian and proud of it!

I'm personally suspicious of people who define themselves by either religious or political ideologies. It's not about their belief whatever it may be, it's just the fact that they have to proclaim it in a self defining manner. I'm guessing it's because it's more difficult to engage people who are driven mostly by the beliefs of a group. Images of a horde, collective or cult comes to mind.

Just my two cents.

the term sheep comes to mind here. hehe

I do not like people who follow someone elses beliefs/ideologies. I personally like to have my own.

So.
Is anyone here actually a Christian?

By the way, I wouldn't make that public. Your overdoing it.

It's like a rich man telling you he's rich.

You don't have to tell anyone- If they hang out with you long enough, they'll just know.
