Should I expect something "magical" from Nofap?

I had previously opened a topic about how I had been fapping 15-20 times a week for years and how I had started nofap, and how I had sexual desire for everyone (including my childhood friend).

The horniness I mentioned happened on the 2nd and 3rd days of nofap. Even though it passed after that, even a little contact and closeness with someone can still cause stains on my boxers (I know it's ridiculous but I can only explain it here and I don't know what to do. If it's too much, even my pants can get wet)

I was very energetic the first 2 days of nofap. I was sleeping for 4 hours etc. After that, it was no different from any other day.
My energy is the same, my sleep is the same, the things I do are the same...
Everyone was acting like nofap was magical and I honestly couldn't understand. My whole life is the same.
I still can't wake up in the morning, my brain functions are still the same, everything is still the same.

And as someone who normally pays close attention to smells, I don't smell very good anymore. Because even if I take a shower with a perfume bottle in the morning, even a little closeness with someone somewhere makes me wet, so I feel like I smell bad.

Here's a copy-paste from ChatGPT, personally I've never engaged in it and actually get cranky when it's been a while, so it's not something I suppress:

The benefits of “no fap” (abstinence from masturbation and/or pornography) vary depending on the individual, their habits, mindset, and goals. While some claims are overstated by online communities, especially around extreme transformations, there are some potential benefits—both psychological and physical—that have been reported anecdotally and supported in part by research:

⚡ Potential Benefits of No Fap / Abstinence
1. Improved Mental Clarity and Motivation

  • Many people report sharper focus, more energy, and stronger drive when they cut out excessive masturbation, especially if it was tied to procrastination or compulsive behavior.
  • Reduced brain fog, especially for those who were overindulging in porn.
2. Increased Confidence and Social Drive

  • Some report feeling more confident, assertive, and socially active—sometimes attributed to raised dopamine sensitivity or just the discipline boost.
  • Abstaining can reduce guilt or shame tied to compulsive use, which helps self-esteem.
3. Better Sexual Performance and Sensitivity

  • For men with porn-induced ED or delayed ejaculation, stopping porn/masturbation often leads to improvements in arousal and performance with a real partner.
  • Rewiring arousal to real intimacy instead of screen-based stimulation.
4. Higher Testosterone (Temporarily)

  • Research shows a small temporary spike in testosterone around day 7 of abstinence, but levels return to baseline after that. It’s not a long-term hormonal hack, but the initial bump can make you feel a little more “on.”
5. Increased Willpower and Discipline

  • Practicing self-control in one area (like sex or porn) can strengthen self-discipline in others—such as working out, waking up early, or staying productive.

What’s Real vs. Hype?

  • Real: Benefits mostly come if someone has an unhealthy relationship with porn/masturbation—e.g., daily usage, using it to cope with stress, or numbing out.
  • Hype: Claims of becoming a superhuman alpha male just from not masturbating are exaggerated. If you were already balanced, you might not notice drastic change.

Who Might Benefit Most from No Fap?

  • Men struggling with:
    • Porn addiction or overuse
    • Low motivation or energy
    • ED or trouble with real-life intimacy
    • Shame or regret after habitual use
    • Using porn as a coping mechanism for anxiety, boredom, or depression

♂ Alternative Approach: Mindful Moderation

Not everyone needs to go cold turkey. For some, setting limits or being intentional (e.g., avoiding porn, but not masturbation entirely) leads to similar benefits without the pressure of strict abstinence.

NoFap is a good practice in the seduction lifestyle. I made those sorts of comments on your last thread. It's not magical though.
So it's better to regulate rather than completely limit. I mean to stop being addicted and do fap consciously.
Even though I was very aggressive for the first 2-3 days, at the end of a week I'm exactly the same person as last week(2nd day I slept 4 days and woke up with full energy.). Therefore, it's probably better to quit the addiction instead of banning it.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I am not addicted to fapping either. Interesting distinction, quitting an addiction vs banning it. I think no fap is about banning it...if you want to claim to try it out. You have people there that brag about not fapping for months or years, not a matter of days or weeks. They mean business.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Masturbating and not masturbating. Both are normal. What's abnormal is being addicted. At this stage, I realize that I'm addicted and try to fix it.

For example, I don't smoke normally. But when a friend offers me one, I take one. About 2-3 times a year.

Or I don't drink alcohol (it tastes disgusting). But when a friend offers me one, I take a sip.
I think the whole thing is about that. You can do but you can't be an addict. But for first months I should try nofap ı think. Like a hard diet before normal diet.

Done it a few times. Never really noticed much in terms of benefits though, tbh.
Not sure if it's just bro-science or whether there's actually anything too it that maybe works on some people...?.... (I mean, various drugs seem to effect people differently so anything's possible!)

Only thing it ever gave me was a negative side effect which was a weird 'feeling'/pain as if I needed to pee but nothing actually came out. Happened pretty much everytime I done 'no'fap'.

I also don't think any of my hottest spells in terms of cold approach happened when I was doing no-fap so I don't personally believe it or practice it

I was most aggressive when I first implemented NoFap and wasn't having sex. If NoFap becomes a standard part of your life, it's the norm.

NoFap is a good practice but NoFap alone doesn't create a super seducer.

Yeah. And these nofap influencers like "make nofap and all of the girls will be yours bla bla"

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

It'll make you hornier after 5-7 days. Then the body will self regulate. Unless you're a teen in which case you'll have a wet dream.

I have been practicing NoFap for around a decade now. In the first few months, I was generally hornier and more aggressive on my approaches.

After that, the body does self-regulate to an extent.

NoFap did raise my overall testosterone and confidence in general. That's helpful in non-seductions settings like the workplace and general social situations too.

For long term success for NoFap, it is better for a man to be getting laid regularly.

Unless you're a teen in which case you'll have a wet dream.
I started having wet dreams regularly when practicing NoFap and not getting laid for a certain number of days.

Actually, maybe my expectation from nofap was to fix obsessions and increase self-confidence.
I'm not very good socially and I'm usually with my own friends but sometimes I get stupid for no reason. Especially when I spend more time with girls.
I say ridiculous things like I texted you yesterday at 23 and you got back to me at 15 today. But normally I don't care at all.

So in general, I have obsessions and a strange distance from people. As if I'm not close to anyone. This is what makes me addicted to people. Like I want to be close to people. I'm afraid of loneliness now, having spent my entire childhood alone.
Actually, I started nofap believing that it would solve this. When nothing changed in 1 week, I quit, but I realized how much I had changed.
After 1 week, I didn't even want to get up as if I was masturbating.
I realized that nofap only keeps the energy inside. You have to direct the energy in the direction you want..

So it's not actually physical. I realized that masturbation was filling a void inside me, but I didn't know how to resolve it.

Really? What's your age range might I ask? Congrats that's awesome, lol. But doesn't that in part kind of defeat the purpose if you're nutting?

This has happened in my 30s and early 40s. I am still early 40s.

I don't think so. Wet dreams/nocturnal emissions are a natural occurrence. It happens during sleep and unconsciousness. For a NoFap practitioner, it's a sign that you've not had sex recently enough.

When it happens to me, I am usually having a vivid sexual dream.

I was that age in 1996 though. During that time I was still walking clean, studying the Bible, and avoiding fapping (ie to the best of my knowledge) as the spiritual experience in 1993 with Jesus and going and participating in church was still quite active. However, in 1997 I backslid when I saw a stack of porn hidden in the trunk of the car that dad had placed there. It contained allot of explicit magazines and then everything fell apart when I was 21 years old in terms of viewing porn and fapping.

At that age I can see it was just part of what I would believe was a spiral from excellence to mediocracy.

It best to stay away from fapping in your 20s, and focus on getting through with your studies, getting the best marks, and finding your purpose. I don't see anything good came out of it. It's not a good habit in your 20s.
