Typically people are more comfortable with others which have similar body types. However, more overweight people tend to gravitate to fit people than vice versa.

I weigh 160 pounds at 5' 10". The most I'll ever date is someone that weighs 15 more pounsd than me (that's 175 for the math handicapped) usually you can tell too. They also have to match heigh/weight porportions too. If they're 5'1" and weigh 150lbs... I'm staying away from that. But if they're 5'5" and weigh 160lbs that's cool (a girl that height should be 140lbs)

Since girls average height is 5'5" - 248lbs is friggin obese!!! of course they'll like you and stuff just cause of attention.
