She pushed him to suicide. Does that mean she killed him?

ahh, to be young and in love....

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...friend-to-kill-himself-is-on-trial-this-week/

Carter is on trial in a controversial case that experts say raises new and contentious questions: Can a person be charged and convicted in someone’s death even if she was not with the victim when he died? And can a person be found guilty of killing someone based solely on what she said in text messages?

Such questions are critical in a state such as Massachusetts, where assisting someone to commit suicide is not considered a crime.

Regardless of the legal outcome, she is one hateful and sadistic little head case in need of serious professional help.

No it does not mean she killed him. It means she pushed him to commit suicide. There is a special law in Russia, you get 7 years for such actions. 7 years here is equivalent of 20 years in American prison.

Kind of off topic but she has nice tits. She should fry. She encouraged a mentally ill man to commit suicide. She has to be punished.

Nah. If I convince you to jump off a bridge and you do it that's not homicide. You are in control of yourself. That's like robbing a bank and blaming your Gf because she said it was a good idea. You have to have suicidal tendencies anyway to be convinced into killing yourself. Either that or mental issues.

If she's only being charged with manslaughter or whatever she'll beat it.

Carter, 20, broke down crying in court, putting her head in her hands, before Judge Lawrence Moniz announced the verdict. Involuntary manslaughter is defined as an unintentional killing resulting from recklessness or criminal negligence.

The judge also noted that Carter admitted in texts that she took no action; she knew the location of the truck and did not notify Roy's mother or sisters.

Since she has made all prior appearances, the defense requested today that Carter not be taken into custody and remain on bail. The judge agreed but added restrictions including: She cannot leave the state of Massachusetts, cannot use Facebook or Snapchat and is prohibited from texting.

Her sentencing is set for Aug. 3. The maximum possible sentence is 20 years.

Whatever sentence she gets, it needs to include some serious mental health treatment for her.

I know two guys who committed actual murder and plea bargained it down to involuntary manslaughter. They each did about 3.5 years.

Yeah the system is phucked up I knew a guy from high school who killed a guy and got 3 years. I knew about another guy from high school who got caught with 1 gram of chockane and did 3 years. I knew about another guy that got caught with 3.5 grams of chokane got no jail time and is a police officer now.
Guess which one was a minority.

This girl will do no time she will remain a cvnt and she's only 20 look out boys that's someone's future wife.

To kill himself, the guy put a generator in his car and let it run. At one point before he lost consciousness he got out of the car, but she messaged him saying he had to get back in and finish what he started. Which he did.

If this type of act doesn't deserve criminal punishment I don't know what does.
That type of action deserves him breaking up with her and phucking all her friends at best. It's on him since she did not handcuff him to the seat and start the car. He was weak minded for staying in a relationship with her and listening to her.

She is obviously a 20 year old nut case drama queen that should be erased from the gene pool but as far as criminal I don't see it. For example if I told you to jump off a bridge would you?

Well, I disagree...I thought involuntary manslaughter was appropriate. Who knows what her sentence will be. She not only encouraged him to do it, but she did not call anybody to help him with the full knowledge that he was in danger. Additionally, she texted her other friends before he killed himself, saying she would look foolish if he didn't go through with it. (She claimed to want the attention as the grieving girlfriend.) Finally, after he died, she confessed to her friends (via text) that her texts to him were what pushed him over the cliff and that she would surely go to jail for it. So she was aware before, during, and after.

He was suicidal and probably depressed. You can call that weak minded if you like, but he needed help more than he needed an amateur Kevorkian - who didn't even have the guts to be there with him. It would surely be nice if logging on to Sosuave could have saved him, but I doubt that was the case. Mental illness is a physical illness - the brain is an organ relying on the right chemical balance.
He was very fragile and weak. He needed help with his mental illness. Instead this b itc manipulates him and causes him to commit suicide. Did he have control of his actions? I say no because of his mental illness. I hope she gets the max. 20 years in prison might change her evil mindset.

Well whatever is wrong with her mentally, it's some seriously bad sh|t and she doesn't belong out in open society in her current state of damage, if ever.
I say she's close to being a full blown sociopathic if not already there.

I respect your views, but in the state where it happen I believe that it's not illegal. So this one will be interesting. Personally I think she should be forced to go through the exact same thing stuffed inside a car and have someone talk her through it.

You know if and when she gets off that she will be one hell of a nightmare woman and some stupid AFC will white knight her and procreate. Man what a world we live in.

she is a complete and utter psychopath, and yes she is guilty of murder because he would be alive if it wasn't for her, what other definition of murder is there than that?

I hope she gets off on an insanity plea because then she'll be in a nuthouse for the rest of her life where she needs to be

she talked him into it, she didn't just offhandedly say "kill yourself" she actually told him how he should do it and egged him on every step of the way

she was the little voice that crazy people hear that says "kill them all, sacrifice them to the dark lord"
