She Makes Eye Contact, Then Looks At Ground???

There's this fly girl on my floor in my dorm. Whenever we walk by each other, we make pretty major eye contact for over a second. The last time this happened though, after a second of intense eye contact, she averted her eyes and looked at the ground. What does this mean? Does she have low self-esteem and not think she's hot?

Ah yes,I remember those days. It's so empowering knowing that you can hold eye contact with someone and not be afraid. After I lock eye contact give them the smirk as to say "like you have a chance",always works.

I still can't believe a girl this hot is afraid of being rejected by ME...and I'm not trying to brag or toot my own horn. If anything, I should be afraid of being rejected by her!

On one level, my instinct and gut tell me that I should have no problem getting this girl. That is why I have no problem holding eye contact with her and running my eyes up and down her body with her looking at me for 3+ seconds.

But in my brain, there is doubt, which is why I haven't just gone for it. I need to get rid of the doubt or I will exude it to her when I approach.

Also, would it not be an IOI if she averted her eye contact to the side as opposed to the ground, which signifies submission?

I just though of an idea you could use (I will use it next time I get a chance, if I remember).
When she looks down, you make a stop sign (touch her) and say What have you lost, I'll find it with you. It must be said with a grin or do it so that she know's you're kidding.

No. I think I'll start simple, with some "hi's" to disarm her. She seems kind of nervous and she would be out of her element if I just started a full-on convo.

Yes it's happened plenty of times back when I didn't know what it meant.

USUALLY it means she likes you but because she's a CHICK dude, she's not really do anything MORE than look at you for a brief moment, and she looks away because she's shy or because, let's face it, she has to look away eventually (she's not gonna stare at your mug for five minutes straight). YOU are supposed to be able to take a hint.

If she was less shy or less into you, she might say HI to you first, but if you wait around for this to happen she'll probably lose interest. Best time to strike is when the iron is hot.

Just give her a nice manly HI (not a weak squeaky one like a mouse) and take it from there.
