I only said that because obviously I am not going to say Yeah and probably scare her. But what should I have said? I felt like I was in a lose-lose situation no matter what I answered with.

You realise once a woman asks you this question then it means that she is looking for a commitment, and if you don't want an LTR then all you can do now is just stall.
