serious or funny

i noticed that when i don't give a sh1t and i feel all crazy and funny, i get lots of fun and i'm extremely friendly and the center of attention (everyone wants to speak with me). anyway, after some time, people start disrespecting me and poke fun at me. i've learnt not to give a sh1t about it and it doesn't faze me, but anyway girls consider me dumb and i often get treated as a little child.

rather, when i don't feel really extrovert (sometimes, even if i'm in a really good mood), i'm silent and i'm not humorous and ****y/funny, i may have really less fun, but at least people don't try to disrespect me PLUS i get approached by lots of girls

what do you suggest that i should do?

would you rather go for fun and disrespect or pùssy and respect, but more boredom?

i know that i should always command respect, but a funny guy that commands respect is likely to be made fun of even more...

I know what you mean, and I feel exactly the same way. I just try and be myself but think before I speak or act, and make sure people are laughing with me and not at me.

Get amazingly good at a sport or academic.

I met this kid who I thought was exactly how you describe yourself when being crazy. He was always the center of a attention, and he was hilarious. I thought he was just some dumb kid who screwed around all the time because he had nothing better to do. Then I found out from someone that he is like a pro track runner, and gets like 4.0's and stuff.

My perspective of him changed almost immedietaly and he went from being some kid jumping off walls because he had ADD, to being someone who was hilarious, but also takes life seriously. I tell other people about him who don't know him very well and they get the same reaction. So everyone who knows him well respects him a lot. The chicks also dig him too, because high school girls love successful, off-the-wall guys.

the fact is... i'm pretty good at basketball, at soccer, at cycling, at school, i've got a more beautiful than average body, i've got better grades than average... everything is more than average, but there is nothing i excel into... usually, people who are pretty good in everything but don't excel in anything are respected just when they are silent guys, otherwise they usually are made fun of... do you agree with me?

It's not good to be a silent guy. Silent guys don't get any respect or any disrespect.... they are just silent guys. Nobody knows them, nobody cares.

I think that you should act however you want. Being unique is almost always a good attribute. That is why I suggested to "excel" in something positive so that people can recognize your good attributes.

Also if people are laughing then that is almost always a good sign. But give or take, if you're sticking forks up your ass to make people laugh, then I'd say you stepped over the line. I'm not sure exactly what you act like when your feeling crazy. But are you being funny or being a freak?

If it's just a few jerk-offs saying some comments you don't like, then make it known that you don't like it. Don't be a wimp about it, but don't be an ass about it either. Just be like "Dude, what's your problem?" Then carry on like normal.
