Losers visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success.

So if I see an HB9.5, and by visualizing all the horrible things that will happen if I don't go and talk to her, somehow muster the juevos to go and do so, and as a consequence we hit if off and have a great relationship, does that make me a loser?

Or if I see another HB9.5, and have a really cool visualization about how if I shout at her from three feet away demanding a BJ, and how good it will feel, and use that to motivate me to go and ask for said BJ, and consequently her boyfriend comes over and beats the crap out of me, does that make me a winner?
I think Rollo meant that people who refuse to take action because they're afraid of the penalties of those actions are typically Losers. People who take action because they focus on the rewards of those actions are typically Winners. What you're talking about is people who take action because they're afraid of the penalties of inaction. Also valid, but doesn't make Rollo's comment any less true.

By the way, twisting peoples' words makes you a Winner. Good job. :p

I respectfully disagree with this .

I truthfully and honestly believe humans will never attain their genetic mental or physical potential. There is never a reason to stop trying to achieve ones best. That said, not everyone can be winners- statistically speaking. You take 10 people and force them to race a 100 yard sprint and there will be exactly 1 first place, 1 last place and 8 others. This is independent of mindset since they all could be visualizing winning as is the case in most professional sports. Every year you have a champion and a runner up in all professional sports and I promise you both teams clubs visualize winning as much as one another.

Forest through the trees. You are being literal, not figurative.

RT's expression is a generality. You are using situations, not generalities. The losers, for your situation, are all the potential sprinters who never went to the race because the imagined they would lose. The winners showed up for the race.

In the case of professional sports, all the team members are "winners" because they are there. Perhaps they imagined one day being in the Superbowl or World Series, but they tried to get on a team, and they try to win from there. The losers didn't bother to tryout for the team because they figured they wouldn't make it, so they won't even get one single game as a professional.

Maybe instead of a 20 y.o. chick, a good first step would be contacting art.ge itself, since they have a database of artists?

Other then that, less think, more do is the key. You gotta stick your toes in the water if you wanna cross the ocean.

I'm in the arts and ever since high school I can recall people telling me, "it's not done that way!" and then when I go ahead and do it as I see it should be done according to my vision, then they say, "WoW! That's fantastic!". I'm told by others in my field that I am at the top of my game, and I credit the main ingredient of I do what I want and try things to push my envelope.

You study it, figure out what it is about it that makes you like it, figure out how it ticks, and that's how you start, and then you learn more by practice. You do it because it gives you some crazy kick. If it turns out you're not good at it, try something else.

Isnt' that pretty much what internet message board are all about? Taking words you've heard in the past, real or imagined, other peoples words and twisting them around to fit your model of reality in such a way that you feel the most comfortable and resourceful to achieve what you want to achieve?

And, BTW, what and whose exact criteria does one determine if one is a winner or a loser, anyways? Society's in general? Your preists? Your own?
Genetic programming? what if all I really want to do is be a keyboard jockey? Doesn't being a keyboard jockey by defination make me a winner? Or do you necessarily have measure yourself against someone else's criteria?

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

In a perfect world we'd use these words to help ourselves become better men. More rounded men. Actuality dictates the opposite though and it's sad.

And, BTW, what and whose exact criteria does one determine if one is a winner or a loser, anyways? Society's in general? Your preists? Your own?

Very good point. Those who believe they can do anything are the ones who compare themselves to no other.
