Although I love both shows, I would have to choose CYE.

It is a clearer picture, has more closeups, seems more realistic (personable), has cursing and no annoying audience laughters in the background.

Seinfeld. Curb Your Enthusiasm is fine, but hell, a bunch of swear words coming out of a bald guy can only take a program so far.

Seinfeld has funnier characters/actors, and the humor and style of dialogue in CYE just comes off as a bit rehashed after 9 years of Seinfeld.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Agreed, all the mannerisms of the main 4 characters in Seinfeld are displayed by Larry David in Curb, yet somehow it's funnier when someone like George Costanza delivers the lines...

I haven't seen CYE (cable or network?), but it was really more the Costanza show than the Seinfeld show. George was the real funnymaker. He made that f'n show!

George and Kramer made the show (although George worked better as a central character). The show does revolve around Jerry, though, and he is kind of a 'neutral' character in the show that all the other characters bounce off of, so I think naming the show Seinfeld is appropriate.

Ehh

I would have to say seinfeld as an overall comedy (still best comedy ever created)

I am a fan of Curb though as well. I just bought season 5 of Curb and think it is very funny.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is on HBO and the host is Larry David (creater of Sienfeld). It just follows his life and how he gets into akward situations (Kind of like sienfeld except more focused on one guy).

The George Costanza character was modeled after Larry David. Curb IS the George show. He's "walking supplication." CYE is about the only show I watch on tv because it's on when I eat after getting back from the gym. Funnier than Seinfeld for the reasons mentioned by other posters. Larry is a completely self-absorbed A-hole, but is obsessed with everyone else liking him. Exactly the opposite of every other comedy - conflict between the characters in each episode builds until it ends in a train wreck where everyone hates each other, instead of the conflict resolving itself.
