Here's a little proverb I've come up with that I think is applicable to the DJ way:

Seek Nothing and Ye Shall Find Sex...
Seek Sex and Ye Shall Find Love...
Seek Love and Ye Shall Find Nothing

Very intersting, if I do say so myself. Now, let me explain:

Seek Nothing and Ye Shall Find Sex

This is corollary to the Tao/Zen theories of eliminating desire. If you go in with the attitude that you don't care what happens, then people will be drawn to you. You will enjoy your life and have a good time. Girls will be drawn to that and you'll find sex. This is all about eliminating desire.

Seek Sex and Ye Shall Find Love

Now, if you have the mindset that you want to have sex with as many hot women as possible, you have not eliminated desire. You have an agenda to have a ton of sex and, therefore, by Murphy's Law, or some ****, this is not what will actually happen. You will fall for one of the women that you want to have sex with. This is what happened to the real Don Juan.

Seek Love and Ye Shall Find Nothing

This is the AFC way and should be avoided. If you are actively looking for love, you aren't going to find it. They say that love comes when you least expect it and this is definitely true. The problem with looking for love is that you set expectations so high. She has to be perfect from the get-go. Thus, you end up finding nothing.
