scripted pickup vs just be fun

I don't think scripted pickup is good but at the same time i feel like "just be fun" or "chase excellence" are not really good practical advises because even a 12 years old would know that you need to be fun and successful in order to get women but they don't know how to be that which is why they search about pickup stuffs to begin with. i am kinda of in the middle because pickup works so i believe be fun and chase excellence but at the same time apply pickup techniques such as push pull,negging,kino,c0cky-funny etc

at a beginning level you need to something to get started with so scripted pickup would work as well in the beginning. what do you guys think?

Absolutely! Scripted pick-up takes away all of the guess-work which would add to the approach anxiety and tension within the interaction. All you have to do is deliver the script in a natural type of way and that is less work then thinking about what to say. You can also back analyze and figure out what went wrong in an interaction because you have a standard metrix of a script rather then worrying about the content of what you said or regretting you did not make any move because you are struggling about thinking about what to say. Sometimes, you dont make a move because you are tongue-tied or stumbling for words and then lose the opportunity. Therefore, I think it's invaluable to have a script. At first it may feel forced or unnatural, but as you continue practising the script and see even some occasional positive feedback or compliance on the part of the girl, then it will reinforce to you that it really works with the right girl (ie remember, before the script it would have been an opportunity that was burned or lost) and at least retain opportunities you would have otherwise missed.

The real question is what script is good to use?

Scripted pickup, IMO, is used by borderline and actual Autistic men, that or thoroughly socially inept men.

It accounts for most of the issues men report having here - they want a numbered bulleted list of things they can do to get laid. It does not work that way; it requires self-development, not memorization.

It's far better to take a college public speaking class or join Toastmasters, but I'm pretty sure no one ever takes that advice.

For those interested, my public speaking class went as follows:

First-class: within the first hour, we had to get up, go to the podium, and deliver an introductory piece about ourselves. We were given 5 minutes to prepare and 2 minutes to execute. It was hilarious. We then spent every class reviewing different styles of speech: allegory, rhetorical, and comical, etc.. It was indeed a fun class to be in. In every class, we had some speaking assignments. I saw people go from bumbling retard to comfortably speaking to a large group (24) and being able to take questions. I did this class as a recent divorcee in my 40s.

If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Start thinking of reasons to TAKE the class as opposed to the difficulties or why NOT to take it. Commmunity colleges are dirt cheap, easy to get into, there is simply no reason not to as a man that wants to get better at conversation. Improv is one of the styles studied in these classes.

Definitely do this if you struggle speaking to women...

I didn't take a class, but drifted into public speaking through a hobby....
I was always a bumbling mess around women... Then in my early 40s, I stepped in as the speaker at my local hobby club (Astronomy) when the pre-booked speaker called off at the last-minute.
It helped that I already knew everybody in the room that night, and had a strong grasp on the subject matter.
It went well... word got round and I was booked to speak at other clubs... and it just kinda snowballed - These days I have a whole bunch of astronomy-related presentations ready to go - got two booked to do in January....

It's amazing what it does for your confidence, standing in front of a room full of people on a regular basis - I can now talk to anyone, any time... about anything...
Doing it regularly I soon learned to realise when women were taking an interest (And yes, I've taken advantage of it a number of times)
I can now easily spark up a conversation with any woman I'm interested in... can pick up on her level of interest... and get contact details when relevant.
If she deosn't seem interested, or available, I'll simply not push the interaction, and just go about my day - no harm done...

I don't know why guys gravitate to these extremes, but they're both equally bad in their own ways.

You should have a general plan on how to progress, but you'll need to learn how to improvise the details on the go and more importantly adapt to how she responds. What you need is a strategy, not a detailed script.

You are always expected to have some improvision with a script if it goes in a different direction. The idea is having a structure in mind of how you want to engage a girl and what is the desired outcome rather than staring a blank if the convo fizzles.

If you can't even play a numbers game because you don't know what you are doing. At least with a script, even if it goes sideways or you get lost, as long as you are doing something, then it's still a numbers game. The next girl may not be like that.

A proper script inherently gives you a structure / framework. That comes as you continue practising it.

Scripting lines is not the worst lines, especially for newer seducers. Roosh had some standards openers that I used in day game and night game after reading some of his articles and books. Over time, I learned to use fewer scripted lines and relied on my in field experience to guide me. I develop the ability to improvise.

well we are humans so we know how human interaction works and what to respond to naturally but it's about getting comfortable talking to an unknown girl for first 15 minutes or so and captivate her interest in these moments then it will just go naturally

roosh is the best I love him. most pickup lines and techniques you see are stuffs that might work in america but not in outside world. i am sure i can not just go and ask a random woman's opinion about how a girl cheated on my friend in asia. it will be just too weird but roosh's elderly opener works fine

Roosh's elderly openers were a form of indirect game. Indirect game could be called basic social skills. The Millennial generation came of age when tech was starting to replace human interaction for a lot of things in the late 1990s & 2000s. Roosh is late Gen X'er, born in 1979 and a lot of his audience in the 2000s-2010s were 1980s born Millennials like myself. 1980s born Millennials did not develop basic social skills as well as prior generations so learning indirect game/basic social skills was a key lesson of Roosh's prime era. As you say, beginners can use scripted pickup because they may not have the experience to improvise. That aside, I think it depends on the person. I personally don't do well with scripted lines because I think I come off as much more spontaneous when I am just talking off the top of my head.

I used to see videos of Mystery using his canned lines and I thought it was the wierdest sounding stuff ever, because he was saying the same lines whether they fit the context of the situation/conversation or not. Another thing I thought was that if Mystery comes up to you and says "You can dress her up but you can't take her anywhere", he's trying to hit on your girlfriend lol.

One of the delights of conversations with women and people in general is the improvisational aspect. I wouldn't want to work from a script. Never have, and probably never will.

Hah, As goes the US, goes the world. But seriously, what you see in media is not average Americans, therefore the reference is moot.

As far as weird is concerned many other cultures seem quite weird to Americans as well.
