I thought this would be of interest to the older guys here since the MRM seems to be something many of us are interested in. I've been fascinated by the intersection of PUAs & MRAs, but his article is really disappointing IMO because there's a lot of guys who could benefit, but are rejecting Game out of hand either out of hate of women, spite or just, I don't know. Seems like the modus operandi of most people these days is to put out vehemently passionate, uncompromising judgements on everything and everyone without doing much research or reflection.

I wonder if its a symptom of too much time on the net, where you are not held socially accountable for anything you say. It's a trend, at least from what I have seen.

Though I have problems with the gist of the acronyms you use,I think I understand what you are saying....In general it is Horses for courses,the blatant ****y-funny routines as demonstrated in blow by blow verbal interactions by those peddling courses,books etc to young Men showing how to pick up Girls, will work on School Girls and poorly educated Western Women,but as one crawls upwards and out of Childish adolescence,our aspirations lift somewhat,and these techniques lose their relevance....Having said that,if you examine carefully the successful pick up and gaming techniques,demonstrated on this site,you can see similarities,and perhaps such routines could be seen as important early training for the young DJ.

Ah, the old trope that Game only works on cheap low quality women. Sorry, try again.

Game is merely a replication of what successful people do naturally, distilled into their basic parts, plotted out on a road map, and then followed until the traits and characteristics become ingrained into the practitioner. The end goal is making the practitioner as naturally successful and attractive a person they can become (aka living up to their potential).

I think Scarmouche was actually using the old trope that PUA techniques are like training wheels. They may have their place in training the young and inexperienced, but most who study pickup eventually go "full circle" and get to the point where they don't need the techniques and don't have to follow the rules. Because they have achieved a mindset that transcends such.

I do have to agree with him that such techniques are likely most effective in a fairly adolescent or young adult environment. After all, that's pretty much what they were designed for.

Dear Zekko & Nutz,
You both put very good points,consider also that the demographics in my location and at my age,are heavily loaded in my favour....Lord be praised,I don't have to bottom feed in pubs and Clubs,I had that scene years ago in N.Australia...interesting,up there in the sixties,there were ten Guys to every Girl,and yet I have never seen a greater concentration of Lesbians in all my born natural...So bad was it at the Navy Listening Post,where they had about thirty young Girl Sailors,we call them Wrens,using US equipment to listen in on Chinese and East Russian Radio signals...That these lovely girls preferred muff diving with their Ship Mates to some of the loveliest Men you could ever see....The whole Unit was disbanded and replaced with Royal Australian Navy guys.

The love of alpha character by women is ageless as far as I can tell.

Women will always desire the alpha, or the top dog, that's just natural.
But alpha is a position, or at the very least a mindset, moreso than a technique IMO.
