Since I get so many people coming to this thread (even if they say they don't care  ), I've decided to post something to challenge your political views. The username 'The Truth' posted earlier about racism in the media.

All of the following was posted by "The Truth":

Racism in the media

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I accept that my views in a previous thread about Mel Gibson have crossed the line and are getting too political, so I've decided not to contribute any more. But I do want to make a point about racist and biased media and demonstrate something.

Here is an article from ABC news about the threat of terrorism in Britain. What offends me about this is how they try to paint Muslims and terrorists and extremists as the same thing.

L O N D O N, Dec. 28 — A suicide bombing that killed three Israelis in Tel Aviv last spring. The brutal murder of an American journalist in Pakistan last year. And the notorious attempted "shoe bombing" on a flight from Paris to Miami two months after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

‘Targeting the U.K.’
Since 9/11, many British Muslims have exported their extremism.

One week after the Istanbul bombings, British police arrested a Muslim man in Gloucester, U.K., and charged him under antiterror laws with conspiring with Reid.

That same day, authorities searched a Muslim school in northern England, and made more arrests in other British locales including Manchester, Cambridge and London.

But in many ways, preventing a terror attack in Britain will be much more difficult than it is in the United States. The difference begins with the make-up of the respective populations. There are between 1.6 million and 2 million Muslims in Britain — roughly the same as the United States, which has almost five times as many people.

Over the years, Britain has taken in all kinds of radical exiles, including famous names like Marx and Lenin. More recently, Saudis, Algerians and other Muslims have taken refuge there.

The British believed exiles provided useful intelligence and had grievances with their own countries, but not with Britain. But that was before 9/11 and the Iraq war. Since then, the presence of Muslim exiles in Britain has taken on a different meaning.

Suggesting that Muslims are terrorists is like saying that because a handful of Christian priests have been convicted for paedophillia, then all Christians must be paedophiles.

Let me demonstrate something by rewriting the article I posted above........

Since 9/11, many British Christians have exported their paedophilic tendencies.

One week after the Gary Glitter case, British police arrested a Christian man in Gloucester, U.K., and charged him as a paedophile.

That same day, authorities investigated Christian school teachers in northern England, and made more arrests in other British locales including Manchester, Cambridge and London.

But in many ways, preventing paedophillia in Britain will be much more difficult than it is in the United States. The difference begins with the make-up of the respective populations. There are between 1.6 million and 2 million Christians in Britain — roughly the same as the United States, which has almost five times as many people.

Over the years, Britain has taken in all kinds of paedophiles and rapists, including famous names like Gary Glitter and Jonathan King. More recently, Americans, Spanish and other Christians have taken refuge there.

The British believed sexual offenders provided useful intelligence and had grievances with their own kind, but that was before previous child abuse incidents. Since then, the presence of Christians in Britain has taken on a different meaning.
It's the same article, but has substituted terrorist for paedophile and Muslim for Christian. See how outrageous and offensive it is?

All I am saying is that you should be more alert when listening and reading the news and don't let yourself get brainwashed by this kind of media propoganda.

Where did I say his ideas were wrong? I never said they were. Contrary to that, I said they were inspirational. :D

Announcement:
The war is about oil, and now in a indirectly from the war, Iran warns oil could reach $200 on sanctions.

Iran warns oil could reach $200 on sanctions Thu Aug 3, 10:59 AM ET

CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) - Global oil prices could hit $200 per barrel if the United States pursues international sanctions against Iran, an Iranian official said on Thursday, although analysts passed the comment off as saber rattling.

Iran's Foreign Relations Vice Minister Manuchehr Mohammadi told Venezuelan state television, "The first consequence of these sanctions would be an increase in the price of oil to around $200 per barrel."

The statement comes after the United Nations on Monday demanded that Iran suspend all nuclear development within a month or face the threat of sanctions. Iran responded that it had a sovereign right to nuclear development.

"Clearly Iran does not want to have sanctions imposed, so they want to convey the idea that the cost of these sanctions would be incredibly high," said Tim Evans, an Energy Analyst with Citigroup Futures Research.

"While we can't rule out $200 oil, I think we can assign it a rather low probability," he said.

Markets appeared to shrug off the comment, with U.S. crude oil falling $1.01 to $74.80 on signs that Tropical Storm Chris would not become a hurricane.

Tension over Iran's nuclear ambitions, which has rattled oil markets in recent weeks, has been overshadowed by the bloody conflict in Lebanon.

"It serves (Iran's) interests to create this kind of concern in the world community about the price of oil," said Mark Routt, a senior analyst with Energy Security Analysis Inc. "But there are elements to suggest it might not reach that level."

He said high prices have lead to an increase in non- OPEC production and turned once prohibitively expensive projects like Canadian tar sands into profitable ventures.

At the same time, Routt said, product demand has been dampened by alternative fuel products like biodiesel and ethanol.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has backed Iran's nuclear program and developed close ties to the Iranian government. Chavez visited Iran last week as part of a two-week world tour meant to boost global alliances.

FCUK THIS THREAD! Just let it die. NOBODY CARES!

i do care Brian. i have paid good money for lots of stuff that people where peddling as help but it was garbage. then i find something of a philosophy that has change my life and mind for free and it works. then i get this troll trying to disparage someone that has done good and maybe preventing others from being help because he wants attention? then he calls Sapiens's ideas inspirational after trashing him. this is the problem with SS we let the friking trolls trash good people's stuff because we are afraid to be called sheep or followers when it is not so. i respect and like Sapiens's ideas they have help me. i could not care if he was a beggar on the street if he gave me the ability to free myself. then someone with Sapiens's knowledge would hardly be found begging on the streets. you are right who cares, all i know Sapiens has done good by me.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

Thats great. Live by the philosophy. What I'm saying is don't feed trolls, just ignor them and do your best to follow what you believe is best. I have total respect for sapiens, the guy is a master DJ from what Ive read.

You have no need to fight a troll about someones credibility. Wether hes real or not is beside the point. The point is that his teachings are great. Follow them and ignor people who run them down.

Do a search of your posts.

When was your last post about dating, seduction, women, exercise, or self-improvement?

Two weeks ago, there was one that said serial monogamy is bad. But it's in a sea of hundred of others about God know what.

Do a search on Yahoo Groups. Liberty Bandwagon is a cool forum. There's gotta be a more stimulating place than this Anything else place on Sosuave.
