..that I've heard on the radio in years (and on an alternative station at that).

I rarely listen to the radio I heard this today on my way to the office. Found out it was Everlast from the House of Pain (old school business). He pretty much summed up what my life is like right now. I'm getting by, but damn it's hard to not take the low road and do some dirt to make these ends meet.

I quit listening to rap, because I couldn't relate any more. I'm not a young kid doing stupid stuff and chasing girls. I'm not a millionaire and it doesn't please me to hear another man brag about how rich he is and how great his life is. To quote one of those rappers I don't listen to any more " What you eat don't make me sh1t" - Jay Z. Yup. When this is the realist thing on the radio, that relates to the life that most people are living, it says something about rap music and its "commercial message".

This has been my theme song lately. I see parallel themes here.

As Ayn Rand said, " I can SEE the "person next door", every day, so why would I want to read about him/them?" :) Same for hearing about them. Why would I bother with the mundane, when I can read about or listen to the finest that mankind can produce? I'll take the Boss, Tom Perry, many others, any day, over the crap that you hear today.

Don't worrry. Recording artists make little to no money. Fat f---- like Lou Pearlman make the money and sleep with the talent. But lets be honest. No young boy is going to get excited over a fat, sleazy, gay Jewish dude who builds a teenage boys fantasy park at his house. If I sound jealous it is because I am

Always the disgusting fat dudes who get the prime action from your stars (before you ever heard of them ;).

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

easy to say stuff about somebody. the reason you don't show some illustrating quotes, etc, is because you are INCAPABLE of it.

I used to be a huge hip hop head in my teens, but mostly old school stuff like Big L, Big Pun, Rakim

now the only emcee I listen to is Eminem, but i've been following him since i was 12. everything else is rock. Black Keys, Zeppelin, etc

everything now is about "swag" and money and all kinds of garbage. i can't relate
