Spoiler note: I won't give away the conclusion here or anything that will ruin the movie, but if you really don't want to know anything before watching, don't read on!

I'm a huge Rocky fan and Stallone has always been one of my role models, from childhood until now. I was cringing when I heard there was going to be a Rocky 6 and that he was getting in the ring, but I got to see the movie last night and I was so impressed!

It is a bit slow at times with a lot of pointless subplots and characters, then it rushes through the more necessary parts, but it's a good film and was handled very well. It ditches the over the top heroism and good vs. evil mentality of Rocky 3 and 4 and returns to the stuff that made the original film work so well. Anyone looking for an action movie will be disappointed, but fans of the original film should be pleasantly surprised.

The thing that struck me most was the dialoge in places and some of the motivational quotes. When he talks about getting up from life's hits and to stop making excuses and blaming other people, I felt chills down my spine. It's exactly what I've tried to preach on this site - stop blaming women, man up and take control of yourself! I would recommend all aspiring DJs watch this film for motivation alone.

Despite all the criticisms I always liked Rocky 5 once I managed to look past the low production values and poor acting, but this is the perfect finish to the series.

I'm interested in your thoughts.

Without a doubt, this is a movie I will wait to see on DVD.

Whatever else the case may be, any 60 year old man would get killed in the boxing ring.

Also, didn't rocky have some sort of medical condition in rocky V that prevented him from getting back in the game? The whole premise of the movie, it just seems too ridiculous.

The best part of Rocky films is of course.....

The Training Scenes.....Just makes you want to go and train hard and believe in yourself...

I got a feeling they do not have the songs " Eye of the Tiger" and " Gonna Fly Now" in this new Rocky....Those are the greatest, most motivational, get your ass to workout songs ever.......

If you're a real Rocky fan, this movie kicks some serious ass and is the perfect way to end the series. If anything, it makes up for 5.

Punchers always have a chance. Tarver even quoted during the fight, "Man's got bricks in his gloves!". Use your imagination.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

A neighboring town's high school mascot is the "tigers," and when their football and wrestling teams run out they play 'Eye of the Tiger.' People in that town don't seem to get tired of that song.
