So I was doing seated barbell wrist curls the other day and my right wrist HURTS LIKE HELL, my left wrist feels normal. Is it because of fencing (its my hobby and I'm participating in competitions) since it does require loads of arm movement. In the meantime, what other exercises are available to focus on the forearms without straining my wrist any further?

If it hurts like hell, don't do it, dumbass. Put some ice on it, take some ibuprofen and let it rest for a few days.

This is the problem with isolation exercises. Not only are they generally a waste of time for beginners, but they put a lot of stress on single joints instead of distributing it across the entire body, using the body as a complete unit, as it was designed to be used.

Deadlift.

If it hurts that much then stop doing it. Also, don't put things in your mouth that you find on the floor.

A 100lb male doing wrist curls.

Sometimes I wonder if people leave their brains in the locker room before entering the gym.

Go read some Rippetoe, lil dude.

Tape your wrists mang... Wrist curls are kind of a waist of time for beginners IMO. If you're picking up 500 lbs off the ground with out straps you'll have some semblance of forearm size.
