Have you guys had a flake that returns months later? If so how have you dealt with them?
I had one in a mutual friends group that I had re-established contact with.

Long story short, she asked me out to dinner to thank me for something I had done for her. Then flaked and ghosted.

10 months later she creates a WhatsApp group inviting me and others to another person’s birthday. I messaged the group saying I had another girls birthday to attend on that date (truthfully)

8 months after that a mutual friend messages me saying he’s lost her number and could I message her asking permission to send it to him.
I’m sure this was BS. He works in IT and knows the importance of backing up data.
Anyway as he previously had her number he already had her permission.
I suspected this was a manipulation attempt on her part to get me to contact her rather than her just contacting me.
I just sent him her number and that was the end of it.

Anyone experienced this kind of thing?

Yup, happens. Don’t get your panties in a bunch about it. Women, even if they don’t want to sleep with you always want the ego validation knowing the can get you to react.

I had a gal in rotation for a very long time that was a total smoke show but would never make the cut for an LTR. I broke up with her going nc more than once, I’d block her or whatever. She would than ask a mutual acquaintance to contact me saying she left something at my place, make up bag, sunglasses whatever, and to call her. I’d tell dude, no, her sh1t isn’t here. Historically before I got tired of it we’d have crazy make up sex for a week or two…

Women, love them…

Yeah, I know.

I showed a bit of emotion over txt a week or so later when she didn’t reschedule and then accepted the situation and attempted no further communication.
A few months later she started putting snarky WhatsApp status updates seemingly directed at me after I posted holiday pic updates when I was on holiday with another girl.

You're on her back burner.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

Flaking happens both ways and is a sign someone might be into you slightly but is preoccupied by friends family and other interests.

Now if shes actually interested shell make an excuse at least and not str8 up ghost u

Some girls will notoriously flake the first date to create desire or to gauge just how interested yiu are and if youll try again

Regardless,
People give too much energy to fickle plans with ppl they barely know

Women are agents of chaos and behaviours like this kind of cement that

In a lot of cases a woman won't initally be that interested in a guy she's talking too , but she still wants him to be interested in her which I think is where a lot of these ridiculous strategies stem from

The best thing you can do with women like these is tell them your seeing someone else and she won't be happy your talking

Women hate this

Girls have no sense of honor backing up their words, so you can't fully trust what they say. It just turns out that she probably wasn't interested on you enough at the time, and, sometime later she caught herself thinking "Where's that guy that was feeding my ego?" and texted you again.

It happens. Women are like that. I particularly wouldn't keep on talking, as it's clear that if she did that with you once, she'll probably do it again, over and over.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Womens minds don't work like that , they compete first judge second
I mean it's really smart. Reminded me of Robert Pattinson taking a stalker on a date and boring her to tears so she stopped stalking him.

If you tell an attention seeker that someone else hijacked her attention, she will also lose respect for you and stop being interested in rekindling anything not worth rekindling.

You're on her back burner.
For context when we got reacquainted at a friends birthday party after several years she began chasing.
She took up motorcycling and I helped her in choosing and test riding some 125cc motorcycles.
Then an immediate family member of mine passed away after a short illness and it was not the right time for me to be dating anyone. She was supportive from a respectful distance, but sometimes I would take weeks before I responded to her messages and things fizzled out.

8 months went by and contact was established again. She needed another motorcycle and again I helped her select and test ride one.
That was when she asked to take me out to say thank you - although I didn’t feel I done anything worthy of that. We arranged a date 3 weeks later as I was going away on holiday for 2 weeks.
We messaged a few times when I was on holiday, but I would not reply back for days.
I believe it was a mixture of bad timing (death in the family), poor texting by myself by waiting too long to respond and I should’ve not made the date so far into the future - I should’ve made a date a few days later after I returned from holiday.
So it fizzled out for her.
