This is my return to this forum after about a year of hiatus. There was a LTR, college graduation, apartment search, job search, that completely distanced me from the DJ lifestyle. And it was miserable. I'm ready to return, as intimidating as a new bootcamp sounds.
This forum took me from a completely pathetic AFC to simply a poor DJ. At first I didn't have a clue but after reading the articles on this site and practicing I at least got to a point where I could understand what I was doing wrong and work to improve it. Even though I was miles away from being a DJ, I at least knew what it took, and that is miles away from the clueless AFCs out there.
It's very depressing to think I'm no longer in college, where I was just beginning to get the hang of meeting women there. I'm 24 now and living in Chicago. I can't go back to those college parties and college clubs I was familiar with. I can't date girls under 20. It's hard to think about what could have been. I'll never have a chance to go back and do it right.
So I'm not about to miss out on what's left of my youth a second longer. I'll have to make the most with what I have left. And it seems like the way you meet people here at my age is in bars. Sad as it sounds, I don't really have experience meeting women in bars. Dance clubs were easy because you had an easy end, dancing. But am I really expected to shout some pick up line over the loud music in a bar? I wouldn't know what to say. Maybe being out of the DJ discussion and with what's happened to me recently has dwindled my confidence down to nothing and that's my problem. I'll have to work on finding it again and maybe the lines will just come to me.
This is a pretty simple and general question that has probably been answered a thousand times before. So pointing me towards other threads would help. Or just give me some examples of how you met women in bars.
Good to be back.
