Hopefully this is the right place for this.

Can anyone explain how the "reputation" works on here?

Specifically:
1) Green and Grey dots under the reputations you've received? Does grey mean negative?
2) How the amount of green dots changes under your username in a post?
3) different shades of green?
4) What this even does for you?
5) Any other importance I could be missing?

I appreciate it. Been curious for a while now.

This forum doesn't really place much value in the rep system. Just use your common sense when following advice of the members here.

reputation is when your bosses b**ch wife tells you no when you ask her for gas money, and then asks you if you gonna drive someplace, and you tell her to f**k off.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

question: Is there any way for Allen to allow us to see all posts that we had that were repped? I can only get a limited number and I like to see which posts actually helped someone

That was the reason I was curious. I like seeing that I helped someone with something. Plus, it re-assures me that what I've learned is sticking. But then my curiosity grew with these green dots. And then even moreso when I saw grey dots. And... I still have no idea what the dark and light grey ones are.

Click on the User CP on upper left. It should lead you to the threads that got repped. If you click on it, it leads you straight to your specific post.

I think the gray ones are when they disabled their rep system.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

The more blips you have under your name, the more you would benefit from shutting off the computer and getting a life. ;)
