update:

okay... I kinda went on a mini shopping spree today. I'm seriously might have to cut my trip short, lol, I'll be broke. well not really but still.. i'm finding deals left and right. cosigners are ctually stopping you on the way to the bathroom "hey you wouldn't be interesting in an Storm Cat filly would you?".. the ones that didn't sale durning the ring because they didn't hit the reserve, you buy buy them privatly

Okay.. so I have a thing for the Seattle slew Bloodline. bought another filly, this one by AP indy out of a Storm Bird mare, with Mr. P as the damsire. **** you can't beat that. the dam has already produced 4 100k earners the female family has produced countless 100k earners and a couple of million dollar earners. she didn't sell because like her dam, she's pretty small. could use a little weight as well. too cute. anyway.. AP Indy's stud fee is 300k.. she didn't sell for 70k. I didn't pay that. **** I thought I got a deal on the other filly. I'm learning something about this sale very quickly.. if you can wade yourself past the hysterial of the first 2 days and actually do some research, after the first 2 days, the huge money usually is gone and you can find some hella deals... Tefeulsburg was bought here 2 years ago for 8k. he's not even 4 yet and he's made 650k.

lol, I'm not done.

I bought a plesasnty perfect filly out of a very producive mare. I didn't pay 10 grand for her.

Now, I know exactly why this filly was so damn cheat... plesantly perfect/plesant tap/pleasnt colony isn't concered a commercial breeding line.. they "take too long to develop".. which is actually usually true. most of them dont' hit stride until they are about 4-5 years old. but if you can wait it out, you get unreal value. pleasant tap is 15k to bred and he has sired more million dollar earners than most 100k stallions. Tiago, Premium Tap and David Junior are all by Plesant Tap, as well as plesantly perfect himself, who won the BC Classic (5 million dollar race) then came back the next year to come in 3rd in the same race.

so now I have 3 fillies. I'm going to take the next 3 days off, go play with my horses, meet up with some friends we have meet, take my gF shopping, i'm so close to home (arkansas) I'm going to go and drive and catch the arkansas/alabama game SAturday then come back and rest sunday.. might whatch some football.. then be in full force again monday.

Had to post this here because it's horse racing related:

Coolmore bought a 2Year old last year in training by Forestry, who is a son of Storm Cat. Anyway, the 2YO broke a world record in training for 1 Furlong like 9 and 1/5th seconds.. that's' stupid slap yo momma fast. A good workout at a sale is between 10-11 seconds if all out. a good workout in training when breezing is 12 seconds per furlong.

So everyone knows when the sale starts, this 2Yo is going to be the sales topper, it's just a matter of how much and if the sheik wanted a peice of him. he did.

Teh bidding went on for 30 mintues... 16.4 million. the most expensive yearling or 2YO ever purchased at a sale.

This young fella was named the green monkey.

here is a picture of him

notice how he's built like a mini tank.

anyway, this all happened april of last year. for a year and a half, the racing world has been awaiting the running of this fella. he pulled an ass muscle in training last year.

came back to training this year. I could tell you more about his workouts than most races. he worked in company with Rags to Riches, his stablemate.

Well...Thursady it was announced that the green monkey was going to make his debut earlier today.

ROTFL!!!

I don't think I've ever seen a more overbet horse in my life. he had no chance of winning that race. that goes to show you.. just because you pay alot of money doesnt' gurantee jack ****. he can still be a decent horse, but he's not that good.

anyway, a couple more pics. here is another of my GF

http://www.horsephotos.com/watermark.jsp?photoID=39237

i'll try to get some pics of her dressed up as we have been going out every night, lol, without the sweet and workboots

her arms are damn near bigger than mine lol

Update: I thought it would be nice to update on how the three little bundles of hell errr joy are doing

First of all.. let me say I've gotten a horse care 101 over the last month, from my Gf and moreso from these little adorable babes.

Let me start with the AP Indy filly. she's is the female equivlant to a stuckup ****. She is full of herself.. she bucks whenever you don't pay attention to her, and everytime you look at her she is posing. what kinda **** is that? Growing into herself, I like that about her. Has a bit of a temper. In all honesty, I see some traits in her that would make her a good mare, but I doubt she will ever hit the track. that's fine. Athletic looking but you can already tell, isn't the most quickest of foot horse I've ever seen to put it lightly. she's not very sound in the back either. built uphill, which is extremely unique for AP indy's.

The Pleasantly Perfect filly just follows everyone around, sleeps and eats whatever isn't stuck to the wall. Small as hell, but pretty athletic. although I'm thinking of selling her.. I made a $10,000 mistake at the sale for some reason I thought, and I dont know why, and this was just brought to my attention about 2 weeks ago, that plesantly perfect was by Pleasant Tap, and he's not, he's by Pleasant Colony.. now, Pleasant Tap is by Pleasant Colony, so it's the same family line, but I'm not interested in Plesantly coloney grandkids, unless they are kids of Pleasant Tap, as he is hands down the most successful from that sire line. long story short, I f'ed up. NOt a big one, but one nevertheless. There are two trainers who are willing to buy her privately off of me as well as a pinhooker, for about what I bought her for, give or take a few..I wil make my decision by the end of the month on what to do..

The Pulpit filly I can't say enough about. She will be a runner, I promise you that. she is so grown and so full, my GF has already started to break her in... literarly floats when she runs. ****y as hell.. struts when she walks.. s he isn't necessary the fastest horse I"ve ever seen.. however I've seen some god damn that's a fast horse, horses.. but she does it so damn easily and she's no 2 yet! I floated with the idea of putting her in a 2YOIT sale next year, as she would probably bring ****..at the very least 300k and I bought her for 35k.. but I"m keeping this one. And I've already decided to let her grow a little more before we through to much on her, and sh ewill probalby be at urfer, if I can help it, but definatly a runner.

remember the name "sway" ;)
