Replying to compliments?

I've been out of pick up for a while guys so bear with me. I work in a shop front on a busy street so we get lots of customers coming through. Today, I had a customer compliment me on my glasses and I did not know how to reply so I made up some crap.

How would you guys go about this scenario? Furthermore, how would you go abouts number closing her if possible? I see it every time with myself that I always miss opportunities when they appear and then kick myself after when I realise.

"thank you" (<-- how a normal human being OBVIOUSLY responds)

"I know" ( the right way to respond, it's humorous and ****y. especially if you thank them after)

(on the subject of my hair) "I grew it myself"

(if they have whatever they compliment you on) "yours is great too"

Confidence combined with humility is an extremely attractive combination. The proper response is (usually) a simple Thank You.

Don't be the d!ck that throws a ****y response out after a sincere compliment. Do not say sh!t such as "I know", etc., even if you're trying to be funny (though i don't see how that's funny). Confidence and slight ****iness is attractive, but blind arrogance isnt. A truly secure man realizes he is the sh!t and doesn't need to make others aware of it. He is almost embarassed when people draw attention to it.

There are very good times to be a slight d!ck and a ****y bastard. After her complimenting you is among the worst times.Believe it or not there are times when being **GASP** nice and polite is a good thing when gaming.

She just gave you a big IOI. Assuming she's being sincere about it, this isn't the worst time to compliment her back. In your particular case, assume attraction and close. Simple. If you have time to game her while working, then get some rapport going, light kino if possible, and then get the number. Number close her the same way you would any girl. Simply tell her to put her number in your phone and wait for a response.

To be honest high quality women wont usually give compliments as compliments are just a fancy way of qualifying yourself and of course a high quality woman would know she wouldn’t need to do this

Don't say "Thank you", unless that's who you are. If you are a "I know" type of person, don't try to fake humility. No use trying to fake something you do not have.

If she compliments your shirt with "I like your shirt", you, well I, would say "I know. That's why i picked it."

I find that insecure people are often the ones that say "thank you". It is as if they are grateful that they obtained the validation of others.

When I get compliments on just physical, like not clothes or stuff....i usually say, "thanks, its all my parents fault"

but if I get like, " you have long eyelashes" which isn't a compliment in my book. I say, " yea I know, its my moms doing"

I've always been one that was uncomfortable with compliments directed toward me. Even when I say "Thank you", it comes off as disinterest. Works for me, so I'm not complaining.....
