This is such an obvious one. People who are SERIOUS about their religion also want a mate who shares their same religious conviction. Telling a suitor, hey Im a christian, wanting a xtian, is a wonderful filter that sifts out guys that don't fit what they are looking for. In my religion, marryin' someone who is not a christian is a big no NO.

It is just a way to qualify ppl and to end up with someone who shares their beliefs.

You are the chosen one, you deserve to be the wealthiest man on earth!

Ah! Yes! Yes! I understand lord! I understand!

SILENCE!!! ... LISTEN CAREFULLY!

You will command the members of sosuave to empty their bank accounts, and send you their visa cards! This is your destiny, this is your right as the chosen one! If they refuse I will strike them down with lightning and set them ablaze!

Yes! Yes! Oh thou most benevolent one, you are so good for me! I... I will do what you ask oh holy deity, I will wait no longer! I will claim what is mine!

The earth become silent, the clouds turned white once again.

Hahaha! You heard it guys, I also accept mastercard, PM me for bank information, do comply or face the concequences!

Hahahahaha!
That was funny. I don't know if you were trying to send a hidden message (other than the obvious one) but it helped return me to seeing the humor of the situation.

It's not as if I was upset that a woman wouldn't date me because of my different view of religion (like I said earlier, most will go out with me assuming I have the same views). But when it comes down to it, it really helps me not to waste my time on them. I'm not the type that lives his life as a zealot extremist in religion, politics or whatever so it would be questionable if I involved myself with anyone else that would.

Check that, religion I can understand on some level because there has been extremist in that area for as long as history itself. But how about political stance? To me it seems as if the political parties in the US are becoming 'cult-ish' or rather extreme as if it were a religion in itself.

Does it fall into the theory that Easy Tiger posted earlier about it being a badge of honor which allows things to be inferred without saying it outright? Could it be something else?

***NOTE: No flames about political parties or religions please...

But therein brings me back to my original question.

Obviously there are people on the board completely unable to have a discussion along the framework Francisco created. This is not his fault, it is the fault of the petty and immature people who would degenerate a thread to further their own political beliefs and religious views. Because there are better things to do with the day then come back in here and delete such posts as they appear (which they inevitably will), the thread is closed. The first time they came about they were ignored in hopes that they would die down on their own, but with dietzco's diatribe likening America's policies to the Spanish Inquisition as well as numerous comparisons to the Taliban, it's obvious that people will pervert any subject to fit their needs. Sorry.
