If I were still in hardcore Christian mode you know how I'd view this?

I'd view it as a test from god to see who I loved more.

The world ie his beautiful woman creation that I have oneitis for or him and it'd be a struggle but I'd chose god because of my fear of hell and my delusional beliefs that I loved a god like this and should be as loyal to him as the Bible claims he is loyal to me.

Then I'd rationalize in my mind a way through the pain of losing a great chick like this and say not only was it a test to be overcome but god being such an awesome god probably has an even better girl who is a Christian lined up for me just around the corner but to get her it was necessary that I pass the test which I did!

See?

When you are religious you can rationalize anything as being good even though its actually quite horrible and non beneficial to yourself but yeah you said not to make this a hate post so thats all I'll say on it.

Who knows? Maybe you can get something out of this post anyway.
I come from that hardcore Christian background too, but anything that made you stray was not a test by god, but a temptation from Satan.

But if she compromises your beliefs, next her. Its better to be a man that stands up for what he believes in than to compromise them for someone else.

Ok, while this may have been said before, I will say it again as I don't want to read all the way through this topic. This is a test from god, but not the way anyone else see's it. Free will is the greatest gift god has given us. Do you agree?

If so then you are wrong. It is the second greatest gift. The first would be love. While love does stem from free will it is the greatest feeling in the world. God loves you and forgives you for anything, but don't you think someone that loves his child so much would feel bad if you turned down the woman you love for him? She is not a trial, this girl is a blessing. If you love her it is your duty to make it work.

I mean, you still have away to go before finding out if you are even going to marry this woman right? So why not stay with her, try to figure it out and seek advice from any source you think would be helpful.

This is what religion is good for it separates and controls the minds of it's followers.

As far as being Christian doesn't give you superior position over hers neither in my opinion help bring you two together and both only find excuses to keep you two apart.

Jesus talked about religions being nothing more superstitions and more or less scorn them all. His only definition of true religion was to visit the fatherless and comfort the widows in their grief.

If you read that you need to ask yourself then whats that say about yours and hers religion and is it true religion and does that mean join it? There should not be anything to join to seek and see God nor should there be conditions of his love if there is then that God is not the God to seek.

I have learned long ago and living in what is considered a bible belt state Tennessee where there is a church on ever corner and each has it's own doctrines of control only hope to brainwash you into their ways of thinking of who God is and try to control you by redefining the word sin as something else beside mis-thinking and create hell that is nothing more a state of mind for those who wish to enter this frame of thinking.

You see you only enter hell because you think you are separated from God when he said he would never leave you God created heaven man created hell to keep you under their control or I should say try.

I'd suggest free yourselves from this bondage called religion it's good for nothing plus you can never leave whats important to you most and thats the Christ thats in you that was put there before you were born and before you even knew any type of doctrine a church has taught you.

Jesus also taught us to love the church and why would he teach this?

The church is not baptist, catholic, christian, presbyterian, wesleyan, methodist or any other denominations or world religion. The church is not a church building. The church is people and people should never be separated by religious doctrines created by men (religions) only to control you instead of bringing us all together in love and harmony. God is above religions and this was why Jesus scorn religions in his teachings he also sees their political agenda.

All you need to know is what Jesus taught and thats the Kingdom of God is within you. Jesus also taught if you hope for something you should seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things would be added onto you. When you understand his kingdom is within you thats all you need to lead you into ALL TRUTH as his spirit as I said above was put there before you were born.

The irony of this thread is, he didn't lead you to your church or pastor but he lead you here for answers to your question. You can take what I say as a grain of salt or a golden nugget to live by neither will it hurt my feelings if you or anyone else disagrees with everything I have written. I know the truth and the truth has set me free I have entered his peace.

I could say more but I will stop there and hope you well.
