Reconnecting with old HS acquaintance, best approach?

Made some small chat with this girl the other night via facebook walls. She's become very attractive compared to highschool and I'd like to set up a date/meet up with her. She goes to school about a hour away so distance wouldn't be an issue but I'm curious what's the best way to go about this?

I was thinking of sending her a message saying basically:

"Hey what's up, we should meet up sometime, catch up and hang out. What is your number? Talk to you later"

Something tells me it's kind of creepy getting a number off facebook. Any ideas?

Sounds good to me. I don't think getting numbers off facebook is creepy at all. How close were you two before you went separate ways?

Not very close I was friends with her partying friends but she was kind of quiet and reserved. TBH she was kind of *****y in highschool and I don't think she had much fun.

Like I said I had a small chat with her on the walls. She got kind of *****y with me so I kind of put her in her place which I think she liked as she became really nice after that.

Shot her a message saying, "Hey what's up, we should hang out sometime. What is your number? talk to you later"

No response in two days. Me thinks I didn't build her interest too high to start with before asking for number. Oh well.
