Recent change in POF?

Have any of you guys noticed that POF has turned to dog**** in your area...

I've noticed lately that there are hardly any chicks that pass the boner test on POF(in my area anyway). I've also noticed a shift in decent looking girls over on okcupid. There seems to be alot more of them on that site these days.
It could just be a local thing. It got so bad that I deleted my pof account. Okcupid for me only from now on.

And I used to get dates all the time on both sites.

I could message 5 and meet at least 2 and f close 1.

This and last year nada. Flake after flake. You suggest a meet up
and they go ghost.

Now I'm dating friends of friends or cold approaching.

POF and other online dating = waste of time.....just go outside and meet ones that you see in person..so much easier and effective...

It's been going downhill for the past few years. Once my technique and profile were down pat I consider 2009-2011 to be my golden years on that site. Dates alll the time.. I remember getting 2-3 numbers per night, good looking girls, with about 50% of them turning into dates and then plates. Not to mention I had many putting out first meet, kiss closing often, etc. Those were some good times.

Now.. boy, I'm lucky just to get a number. The last 5-6 dates I've had have gone NOWHERE, never heard from them again. I still look and act the same, so I don't know what to make of it. I can only guess the site has been recently flooded with a crop of richer, hotter guys with game causing the girls to raise their standards through the roof.

I just find the disparity between the two sites stunning these days.

For me POF=dog ****e even with good NN material..

On the other hand, i'm cleaning house on okcupid lately. Lots more talent there and lots of responses to emails which are leading to dates/bangs.

Good to see that it's not the game... POF is ****ty all the way across the board these days I guess.:moon:


The main problem with my area, is there's tons and I mean TONS of fatties on POF. The 10-15 chicks worth a poke won't reply to anything b/c of this.

On okcupid at least they rank out users by attractiveness ratings. I've gotten a bunch of emails that say that i've been rated highly so they'll only show me attractive matches from now on.

They sort through all the BS so I don't have to wade through a sea of lard.

okcupid for me only from now on. Sure am glad i'm not the only one that's noticed POF going down the tubes these days.

Disagree, when it comes to ease and efficiency online dating is more effective, given that you're not in a "dry county" when it comes to online targets in your area.

If you're talking quality of woman and seeking a substantial relationship, online is not the way to go

You have to define what you mean by online dating being a waste of time. Online dating has certain fixed variables that make it easier than real world gaming. Unknowns in real world game like whether a chick is single, in the mood to b hit on, horny, lonely, etc are not unknowns in online game. Online EVERY chick fits all those criterias when she logs into her account, removing a lot of obstacles and fast tracking you to pvssy

I can go on and on about how I can spam dozens of chicks and gain their interest online in the time it would take to approach an talk to 3 chcks in real life whom again, you don't know whether they're single or interested in being approached in the first place. I won't go point by point though. I'll just say this whole "online dating is a huge waste of time " argument gets thrown around here too much.

If you wanna argue the quality of woman online vs IRL, or that onlie ame is "beta", that's one thing. Your argument doesn't hold much water

Or the standards of the girls online have gone up.

Can you ever find a hot girl online? Wouldn't she be snapped up in less than 8 seconds in the real world? For guys I understand but a girl who is relatively stable and hot to be poking around online, seems awkward.

But hey, I know people who have met online and married too.

In to see discussion. I still use POF with some regularity (and have snagged a few 7s and a couple 8s in the past year), but I'm curious about OKC. I used it briefly years ago and there just weren't many girls on there. Might have to give it another try. POF is exploding though from a member-base standpoint.

Is not online dating part of game? I don't use it as a main source, but rather a side to sarging at clubs and bars. It's just another tool to have in the arsenal to meet chicks.


I would say that okcupid is worth a shot. It's damn good in my area, I pretty much feel like all the hotties left pof and moved to okcupid.

Could also be that POF is decent in other parts of the country, and okcupid sucks there. Just too hard to make a broad statement about this, I guess. I still think POF is like a crappy dive bar that no one wants to go to...
