I read all these laughable articles, and hear famous guys getting rich off this pickup artistry, claiming you can get any woman you want if you 'stop being mr nice guy,' and be '****y and funny!' As if they have discovered some huge insight. Newsflash I'm not a nice guy. I talk ****, I make fun of chumps, and I can sometimes even make people laugh. I can talk to a chick without crapping my pants, while breaking her balls and cracking some jokes. I'm almost 30. So logically I should have assembled a Grade A collection of imported tits on my walls by now, right?
Hasn't happened.
Here's why: In general, a woman's reaction to a man is based on four factors -
(1) The Physical - Are you a male model with a designer wardrobe?
(2) The Economic - Are you a doctor/lawyer/stockbroker with a Porsche 911 Carrera?
(3) The Social - Did your ancestors come over on the Mayflower or are you the dopest homey in the hood (depending on what social scene you are going after)?
(4) The Preferential - Do you like Red Hot Chili Peppers? She likes RHCP! What's that? You also have the correct physical shape, career, and social circle? It's time to make the sex!
As long as your personality isn't that of a complete ****ing loser, or an actual serial killer, then your chances are pretty good with a woman provided your status in the above four categories meets with her approval. Personality actually means **** all. Think about it. Are you for some reason dead against polite girls? Is there some spastic logic in your head which makes you only like cheeky girls? If you met a hot, rich, socially talented girl, would you call it all off because she is a little goofy? Or because she is forthright? Get real. Personality, so long as it is not so extreme as to constitute a defect, actually means quite little.
You think I'm going to walk up to Giselle Bundchen with my little '****y and funny' act, and take her off Tom Brady's hands? Get real. I am not IN HER LEAGUE (that saying exists for a reason): meaning I don't satisfy her physical, economic, or social requirements. I might very well satisfy her preferential requirements - in that we might like the same things (I don't know if that's true) - but this fourth category only matters if the first three (or at least two out of the three) are met. For instance I'm not going to walk up to Angelina Jolie and say 'yeah I like saving the world too, want sex?' and expect any success... but someone like Brad Pitt - satisfying her physical, economic, and social needs - could easily dispense with the world-loving crap and just say 'sex, now.' The fourth category of personal preferences is nice and all, but it's not strictly needed - especially for a short-term affair - and it's definitely not enough on its own. Personality doesn't even come into it: it's even further down on the list, by far.
Every 'dating coach' (or whatever the **** these ****ers call themselves) wants you to think that you can follow their methods and 'have any girl you want'. What a lie. Think about it for a second. Understand what nonsense it is. Would a Harvard-educated model woman whose father and grandfather were senators EVER allow herself to even remain in your presence for longer than three seconds? Of course she wouldn't.
You can't have every woman you want.
Take a reality pill and wake up to life. If you are an average looking guy with an average education, career, and social position, then you are equipped to go after average looking women with average educations, careers, and social positions. You might be able to score ten of those women in a week if you really went overboard, but that doesn't mean you can 'have any woman you want,' although it's easy to see how an idiot - intoxicated by the stink of average-grade snatch - could convince himself otherwise.
