have any of you ever had problems with reaching a limit? Take my bench press for example. i'm 5'11", 185 lbs. and I've been working out for years. my bench has finally gotten up to 300 and i'm the strongest i've ever been on every exercise that i do. Is there a point when your joints and bone structure just can't handle getting any bigger (w/o steroids of course). I've done anything and everything to bust plateaus but i find that any heavier i life i just end up with potential injuries, esp. to the shoulders and knees.

since basically those joints are associated in most multi joint movements, anybody know of any exercises i can do to strengthen them to be able to take on more weight? or am i risking permanent joint problems, such as future arthritis?

You'll need to up your weight man. If your benching 300 at 185 imagine how much you'll put up if you weigh 250

that's what he's TRYING to do ... getting stronger, which means increasing his muscle mass. what do you want him to do, get fat? what will that do? he's asking about the strength of his joints and how much more they can handle.

You've reached your limit then, just maintain - I don't understand why men keep wanting to increase their size to Arnold Swartzeneggar size.

Speaking of Swartzeneggar...

Believe it or not, person who played the T-1000 from Terminator 2 Movie is far more attractive in terms of physical body to a majority of women than the T-800. Think Michaelangelo's David:

as the ideal perfect male physique not some huge pro wrestler guy.
