Steve, the problem is that racism stems from competition over resources. Your post will almost certainly bring out those feelings in some members. That's one reason it is offensive to some people
Also, your question has so many variables such as age, location, religious background, etc. It's not an easy question to answer at all.
Women have all kinds of preferences, there is no generic algorithm to determine what any one woman will prefer. It has been found that women (in general) prefer darker features than men do. This is why women tan I think, they assume because they prefer darker features, men must do so also. Just how dark are those features though? That's a really good question!
However, look around. Black women with blonde guys, white women with blonde guys, black guys with blondes, black guys with black haired hispanic women, etc. Every possible combination has probably been done hundreds or thousands or times. Also most studies do not make it super easy to track these preferences by age groups other than college students, differing religious backgrounds & races, etc. If you really want to answer this question, be prepared to do a hell of a lot of research!
In regards to receiving stares and such, it's hard to seperate what is racist from simply unfriendly. I've had people of various races "stare me down" and such, but how can I be sure it's simply because of my race? Is it possible that person is just crazed, anti-social, jealous, or a weirdo? Maybe if that same brain were dropped into my race, the actions would have been the same? It's a dangerous thing to assume anytime an unpleasant experience with another race occurs, that racism is the cause.
