I was looking up smoothie recipes on youtube and I found this dude, and the "raw food diet". I've just started doing a little bit of reading about it and it looks interesting. In the middle of the video he starts listing some names of authors who have written books about it, I looked those up too. Seems like something worth trying out.

Has anyone ever tried it, have opinions about it or any random info pertaining to it?

Yes - Raw Food diet is what nature intended. Our jaws and mandibles and teeth and intestines are not designed to handle heavy amounts of carnivourous food.

And anyone who says thats bvull**** - here this: What the fvck did man do before fire? Because man was most certainly around before he discovered fire and ergo that cooking raw meat made it palatable to eat, whereas in its raw state no caveman muthafvcka was going to eat raw steak. Plus - our bodies do not make vitamin C...this can only be because we evolved as plant and fruit eating mammals where vitamin c was abundant, adn the main part of our diet.

BUT...you will be skinny, and people will think you are weird, then you have the soical factor where just about everything involves food. But if you can handle all that you will probably live to 120 plus...if you can stick to it. I couldn't, and I am back now "eating clean" (lots of protein, medium fats, and only natural carbs, apart from a carb up day now nad then) and lifting weights and gaining all my muscle mass back. Hear this: the diet that makes you look good is not necessarily the best for health and longetivity...but I accept that.

I've tried all the diets - I am a weird fvcker and I'll try anything if I think their is the remotest benefit. I once tried doing handstands against the wall so the blood would flow to my head and hopefully help stop my hair from falling out - didnt work...but I digress....do note you will still need some protein. Before the advent of fire humans ate raw eggs and fish to supplement their fruit and vegetable diet. But these days thats a one way ticket to salmonella and other nasty parasites, so try something like 80% raw and 20% meat and fish. that way you get most of the benefits of a raw food diet, but the benefits of some calorie dense protein foods too, so that you wont become sking and bones - plus you can go out socially and eat and not seem like an raw food weirdo...but maybe that is a good pickup idea for chicks, to admit you are a raw foodist??! Who knows.

As with all diets and exercise programs, look at the person promoting them. Do they look healthy? Do they have the body or the healthy glow you want to achieve?

I believe in the term "practice what you preach" so if I see a skinny scientist or withered crone (i.e. Gillian McKeith) preaching this kind of advice, I dismiss it in an instant.

I'm looking at the guy in this youtube video and he looks scrawny. That's not to say he's not healthy because I would guess he's healthier and fitter than most bodybuilders, but it's not the look I would want for myself.

I would rather eat a normal diet, be muscular and athletic and have a normal lifespan than be a scrawny ***** but live to be over 100. Quality over quantity.

@ around 1:20 when he flexed, I laughed hard.

lol @ around 7:27 when he says you'll be ripped like me I laughed again. I had his level of "rippedness" when I was in High School.

The only thing was, it wasn't cause I was on a raw food diet, it was because I was severely malnourished and not getting enough calories.

For all you guys reading.... Ripped does not mean you can count the ribs on your own body like you can on that guy's.

That means you need to fvcking get more calories in.

Yup but you will still live way longer bro, remember FIRE was discovered around 750,000 and 800,000 years ago during the time of Homo erectus, and from this we can also see that our species did not exist yet it would be another 500,000 years before the first cro magnon or early modern Homo sapiens first walked the earth.

So our body by now has adjusted to eat raw and cooked foods, and on average we have a longer lifespan, so cut out the drugs alcohol and eat a clean diet and you will be fine.

Heres my current diet the only time I cook anything is the brown rice meat for lunch/dinner and green tea for bed.

Wake up after morning run have

Protein shake made using
300ml trim milk
scoop protien (25gm protein)
1 banana
4 Tblspoons oats
2 Tblespoons yoghurt
1 Tablespoon honey
Blend till creamy

Repeat the shake around 9 or 10 am

Lunch is brown rice and smoked chicken or tuna

afternoon snack is again brown rice and smoked tuna or chicken

preworkout and post workout I have the same shake

For dinner its lean cut of red meat or chicken and a huge saled with balsamic vinegar

around 9pm I have a cup of green tea a handful of almonds and some yoghurt before bed.
