this is the way i always invensioned self esteem working when it comes tow omen

you in your head, have a general HB rating of what you give yourself overall. I believe every time you deal with a girl, rather it be to approach her, or to try to escolate a date, or to push for sex, or put your foot down or whatever, i feel like your brain does a mini check to see what your HB self esteem is and compare it to the girl and what you precieve her to be, than it acts accordingly. to use an example before i got to this site i would have no problem chatting or pushing for sex with a cute or avg looking girl but the thoroughbreds, i would clam up. i gave tehm a better grade than i gave myself and i was too afraid to lose them to make a hard move.


so 2 questions


1. what would you rate your self esteem?


2. what do you think you can do to improve your self esteem rating?


I keep a daily/weekly tab of this actually have for a while. I give myself at this moment a 9.2. I think pretty highly of myself. At my lowest i was a 4.8.

I think to get better I can stop procrastinating on these projects I want to do. there were also a few goals that i set for 2012 that i didn't even really try all that hard to attempt. I want to learn japanese, we are going to japan/tyoko next year and i want to know enough to get around by then. i haven't so much as picked up a book lol.

To improve I just need to work out more.


I'm 39 with a decent sized gut, but i'm pretty muscular too so it doesn't look so bad. And i've pulled anything from 1-10 so I really believe that for me it's just a matter of finding a girl that likes my "look" I do have a look. Loosing the gut to me means losing body mass I kinda like where I am now honestly.

Right now I rate my self at a 9 - always room for improvement. It's at a healthy high because I have become one with myself. Quite frankly, I'm being honest with who I am.

Used to be a 4 though, when I wasn't honest with myself and was living a lie.

Arete, a greek word for excellence, is a principle i have emblazoned in my mind. to fully assume arete means living up to one's full potential. in order to do so, one must constantly strive for excellence. excellence in all modalities of life. if you engage in this mindset you are living to your fullest; you are humbly confident because you have become one with yourself. it is an utmost understanding and appreciation for yourself as a human being. as opposed to egotistical confidence, which is false confidence and transparent.

Typically, I'm a 5 in self-esteem, but it varies. I'm generally a humble/modest guy.

Sometimes it can temporarily peak as high as 8. Right now, maybe it's 7 at most.

I don't know why anybody (male or female) should be full of themselves. We're all human. That's why AWs crack me up .

Confidence is good. Believing in yourself is good. I fully support those.

But I'll never understand what is attractive about arrogance/****iness. But then I'm not a chick lol. Anyway, that's off topic.

I'd give myself an overall 8. Sometimes it drops but on average an 8.

Self improvements would definitely be get back into cold approaching without the hesitation, and the care of the outcome.

8.5 - 9. 5-6 months ago I would've been a 5, and a year ago, probably a 3 or 4. Working with my coach helped me progress.

Now I've got a much better idea of my self-worth.. and if I'm honest with myself, I've got a lot going for me.

Lots - work out and improve your self-image, work hard in school, complete the goals you want, and be honest with your own value rather than trying to put yourself down.

He definitely has his manic episodes. But I am no expert.

And in fact he has very low self-esteem. You can easily spook him

with mild disagreement.

I think Rollo has self-esteem around 9's, and maybe Zarky. Probably Danger as well. I can't think of any other rock-solid persona here.

You can feel it, they don't need to advertise it, you can't touch those guys.

I tried rosetta with french and i didn't care for it. I ended up using Michel Thomas for the french and that **** was great. that and my wife speaks fluent french. Thomas doesn't do Japanese though so I'm SOL. I'm going to try the other big one i can't think of hte name right now.

there are very specific types of people whose skin i get under.. people who are on my level don't have a problem with me. i to be frank the people whose skin i get under, let me know i'm going in the right direction. you're the guy at my house who gets butt hurt that the girl he likes is looking at me and tries his damnest to AMOG me to make himself feel better. that guy can hate me all day long i dont' want to be that guy's friend.

you've taken my entire post, which was 100% to try to give people some perspective on how they rate themselves versus how they rate the girls they are after and turned it into an arm chair pop phyc session.

it's alot easier to sit on the sidelines and start posts about how the world is going to end and how we need a new world order and **** then it is to get out in the field and actually try to contribute relevant **** to the site.

you don't like me beucause i'm everything you want to be and can't be.. you have no balls, you don't try, you wish you can get hit on the chin and not give a **** but that's not possible for you, you wish you could have game like i do but don't nor have the will to work at it to acquire the skill set. so for you it's easier to make posts like this.
