Rap and I don't like it!

I am reposting this here. Because in High School Forum: I got answers like RAP RULES and TUPAC RULES. And didn't really get any real advice out of it

Well, I just moved here and it seeems like everyone likes rap music! But I presonaly do not like it at all! NOT AT ALL! (This is no offence to people who like it. We all have our music tastes)

I have a different tase in music then most people. When ever the subject of music comes up with girls, and they say they like RAP. Then they ask me, and I say what I like. (Classical rocky, Rock, Heavy Rock...) They all seem to be uninterested.

Any advice? And please don't tell me to just fake liking rap.

If a girl doesnt like you because the music you like then shes an idiot and if you dont like a girl because she likes rap then your an idiot.

What advice do you want man? This is trivial and a lame thing to discuss.

Stick up for what you believe in, including music. If the girl wants to listen to rap then just tell her NICELY, "As long as you're in my car we're not listening to that ****". Don't pretend to like anything because you'll never pull it off.

look, music is a trend. some people only like music that everyone else likes. be glad to know you are original. there are others like you.

Listen to what YOU want in YOUR car and what SHE wants in HER car. If she goes to change your radio station, give her a playful smack on the fingers.

If she can't live with your music when you're driving her ass around, she's going to be controlling and demanding anyway.

And if you can't live with her music in her environment, then maybe 1) you're too inflexible (you don't have to like it, just tolerate it) or 2) she's just not for you.

Girls who go to clubs and such tend to like rap-type music. Go to rock concerts or bars with live music.

i used to listen to rap all the fvcken time few years ago, then i noticed that new stuff is 100% bullsh1t and swtiched to rock. All my friends listen to rap but when people ask me what kind of music i like i tell them how it is...rock and trance. If they dont like it who gives a sh1t..?

It's good having different tastes.

Don't change for anyone, tell them what you think - don't be afriad too argue but don't be so narrow minded either, respect their views.

It's really no big deal unless you make it into one.
Theres a lot more important things in the world and no chick is NOT going to sleep with you just because you don't like rap - unless she is really fuked up.
