I'll keep it brief because it's 5-f*cking-am and I'm tired.

Interesting Tidbit 1:

Some AMOG started verbally ripping on me at the party. I had my shirt unbuttoned a bit.

AMOG: "Hey, what do you think you are, some playboy? Button up that shirt."

ME (not breaking eye contact): "Hey MAN, I'm just trying to cool off here, you know?"
(We were dancing.)

So he starts buttoning up my shirt for me. I quickly realize that he looks like a dumbass, so I go on:

ME: "Oh, okay, while you're at it, can you get the very top button then?"

So he's standing there trying (and failing) at buttoning up the top button around my collar.

HIM: "I've never buttoned up another man's shirt before."

Somehow we got into an exchange like this, with both of us smiling hugely while holding strong eye contact (there were ladies right next to us):

HIM: "I hate you." (giant grin)
ME: "I hate you too, jerk." (grinning)

Then I was ready to exit gracefully, so I went to give him a slap on the back in Tom Cruise AMOGing fashion.

But he had the same idea at the same time, so we both slapped each other on the back, and realizing we had counter-AMOGed each other, both laughed fakely to save face.

Imagine two simultanous, fake "HA-HA-HA"s coming from two fake overly-deep voices from two metrosexual type alpha males. That's what happened.

Funny thing is, I think through all of that we ended up social proofing each other more than anything.

Later that night I had women lining up to sleep with me at the party. One literally said,

"Let's go to some quiet place where you can tell me all about it" ('it' was whatever bullsh!t we were discussing)

I had three girls dragging me on to the dance floor, whom I resisted in front of another, hotter girl.

It was all crazy social proof building.

I declined all of the makeout sessions I was offered because I was trying to DHV for the hot babe I was really after whom I will see again another night.

I like to go for quality not quantity, i.e. I pick the hottest girl and try to pawn all the others for her. This has worked well for me in the past. We'll see.

Cheers,
Alphathree going to sleep

See the problem here is that you got into his frame, and you tried to explain why u got ur shirt unbuttoned.

A better reply would be to look at him in the eye but with a calm relaxed expression, and veeeeery slowly unbutton one more button on ur shirt

Or just say: "what's the matter dude, am i turning u on?" or whatever

Did you start making out after this point? This is sooo homoerotic, dude. Why'd you let him touch you? Sounds like it turned out alright, but in my experience (which I'll admit is limited as I don't seem to come across many AMOGs), saying "Yeah, man" in a dismissive tone then COMPLETELY shutting him out is the easiest way to do it. It keeps you from having to think on your feet, it's pretty effective and you don't risk supplicating.

Um, I don't want to get into a fight, that's pretty needy... it means I have to prove myself.

Having a tool come up to you at a party asking if you a play boy then coming right up close and buttoning your shirt..........thats wrong on so many levels.

I would be angry not to prove myself but because i do not want to have a guy telling me how to dress and touching me like that.

Sorry dude, you made a good recovery, but this AMOG schooled you by getting off the first shot (i.e. button your shrt). He played Sargent and you played Private only because he got the drop on you. This set the pace for the night. You may have recovered well enough, but remembr to hit first and hit hard with an AMOG.
