Quick (stupid) fashion question

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm clueless when it comes to clothes... Should one wear a white undershirt underneath a black collared shirt? It's not a really fancy shirt, just something from Banana Republic that my dad gave me because it's too big for him and I wanted to wear it tomorrow to school. I was thinking of putting on a black shirt under the black collared shirt but I think that would look a little weird, and the white undershirt with black collared shirt looks fine in the mirror to me, but again, I'm clueless on this subject.

It's fine. The cotrasting colors might actually make you look better then a single tone.

It's fine. One of my favorite outfits is a black tight fitting kenneth cole collar shirt with a white undershirt. I leave it unbuttoned to expose as much as the white as possible. It looks sharp.

yah, black undershirt with black shirt actually looks a bit weird. a dark blue or even maroon undershirt would work.

no undershirt works too. but a white undershirt is fine and is fine with most colored shirts.

A white undershirt looks slobish. Get yourself some colourful (blue, red etc) undershirts so it stands out from the shirt.
