Quick Question

So, just as a heads up, this is my first post.
Although I've been reading a lot of this stuff lately.
What I'm taking from it isn't necessarily new techniques, but just being able to gain some confidence, which is something I lack.

So my question is this:
I'm slowly getting better at number closing. I've been able to get a good conversation going, and it works. However, 2 girls that I've recently number closed haven't responded to my calls/texts. Just wondering what you guys think is the best way to get a positive response to a follow up. I personally feel there was a connection with both girls (they both said they really wanted to hear from me) but maybe I messed up on the follow up. I know some of you will say that I just need to number close more often, which I'm well aware that that's totally true, but I just wanna hear what works for you guys.

I'm glad to finally be getting some results, but apparently, it's not working all that well!
First girl: Definitely an 8-9, great body language, kissed me on both cheeks, said she really wanted me to call her. BUT, I think she was pretty drunk.
She lived in Ottawa (I'm in Toronto), moving down a week or so after I first met her. I added her on Facebook, told her I'm down for showing her the city when she gets in, no response. Never followed up after that.
Second girl: 8, met her on Friday, got her number. Also seemed a little intoxicated. Either way, great body language and eye contact. She also told me she really wanted to hear from me. Just sent a text about an hour ago saying I promised her a get together, and that I'm busy this week but I'm free Wednesday night. No response YET.
PS - If I don't get a response by Tuesday, should I call?

Second girl: I have a rule of mine, always communicate through the phone, and no exception for me. I would have called instead of replying with another text message. But yea, call Tuesday night if it's left unknown.

Word. I'm getting better and more comfortable with experience, and in the end, that's all that matters.

So, I didn't call the first girl because she gave me her Ottawa number. I wasn't gonna call long distance, I felt that might've looked a little needy. So I added her on Facebook. I wouldn't mind giving her a shout again, she was pretty hot.

And yeah, the second girl, I contemplated waiting until tomorrow and calling her on my lunch break, but I don't know why I changed my mind. Text messages give the other person an easier chance to ignore you. I should've called, but if I don't hear from her, I'm calling her on Tuesday.
