As the name indicates I'm new to this place. Ive always done ok with women in the past. Have a novel situation going on and would love some opinions.
Please don't judge but I'm already in a LTR that's gone kind of stale. I actually live with my partner.
A while ago I met a woman at a social thing who initially i wasn't that interested in. She flirted a lot during the evening. I gave her lots of chances to leave my side and she didn't. She was drinking alcohol and I was driving so was sober. As the evening wore on her eye contact became more pronounced and... as a sober guy... I was pretty sure she was into me.
She's actually 7-8 years younger than me (i'm early 30s)... don't think that's necessarily an obsticle.
PROBLEM : I didn't mention I had a gf that night which might have been a bad move. In fact she only became aware i did have a gf via a mutual friend at a late date... When i saw the new girl at another social thing our mutual friend asked how my gf was, etc. This will have prob raised my sleaze factor.
(as an aside i think the mutual friend - female - was ****blocking - she barely knows my gf and i can't think of her ever asking after her in the past... anyway...)
As it goes with these things, it was around this time i started thinking the new woman was kind of interesting and it might be fun to get to know her.
Next time i saw her my gf was with me. Very interesting reaction. We didn't speak that night though she did walk past me when I was talking to a guy friend and gave me a really, REALLY, dirty look. It was kind of cute when I think about it. must've been deliberate, right?
I've seen her a few times since, have her number and have texted her a couple of times. Platonic texts that are hard to explain in this context. She responds (except for one occasion), friendly, with a x at the end.
Seen her a few times now and there hasn't been any flirtation really (nothing compared to the first night). even so, i have a feeling there's interest there. this has gone on for maybe 6 weeks. unsure how to proceed. don't know whether the knowledge of the gf is holding her back.
n.b. i am guilty of some not so alpha behaviour. kind of being socially inept. but that's generally my schtick anyway and I think I pull it off (it has worked to my advantage in the past).
