Hey guys,

im in the situation where i want to lose a few lbs but also put on muscle. i certainly want to avoid losing any muscle in the process thats for sure.

im not really 'fat' at all but have got a bit of a double chin and belly that i would like to put to bed. i think i could achieve this in under a month with the right guidance

so tips please?

p.s. i drink alot of lucozade sport, is this bad? about 30g of carbs a bottle...

i was tihnkin about just doing a bit of light cardio a day along with my workouts (3 times a week) and eat very little - fruit and vegs and maybe a little chicken and 2 shakes of whey protein a day. would this be feasible?

Read the "Where to Start" post in the Health section.

It has a great program in there, I gained 25lbs on the bench press in about a month.

In fairness he didn't ask if you could help him gain 25lbs on his benchpress!

He asked if for Diet suggestions on how to cut fat! I would say to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day, low in carbs high in protein and keep up with the weight training and do intense cardio on off days!

But I am not the diet master and indeed other posters will need this clarified

careful with the 'eating very little'. less than 1200-1500 calories and your body will go into starvation mode, esp. if you're not very active.

also, careful with the denial -- 'i'm not fat, i just have a double chin' etc etc. who are you fooling? yourself? you have bodyfat to lose, that's difficult, so saying 'it's not that bad & should only take a month to fix' is not the most helpful starting point.
