Everyone always says that another person's pupils dilate when they are looking at someone who they feel attracted to. Well, I have a few questions: What ARE pupils exactly? Can you really tell if they dilate or not? If so, how far from the person can you be to tell if they're dilating?

Pupils are the things in your eyes. You will notice that they get bigger or smaller as you talk to someone. I would suggest you need to be pretty close to the person and give them good eye contact to see if they are dilated or not.

When you were a kid before you went to school did you know what ONE PLUS ONE was equal to? No. You went to school and you learnt what it was equal to, and back then before you were at school that WASNT stating the obvious but now when we talk about it , IT is stating the obvious. And as for your definiton Im glad you took the time to read the definition in the dictionary up.

checking to see if the pupils dilate or not , and using that to determine the IL is major BS. There are several other factors playing in that affect the size of the pupils, then just her fancy for you.

something so little as this shouldn't set either one off and the better thing that a MAN should do is just leave it alone.
I know what was going on, Don_Joffe was simply stating that to people who know what pupils are, it's common sense. The thing is that not everyone knows these things despite the fact that it should be well known.
given age, location, or any other things that may hinder them from ever knowing about it prior, it's hard to judge whether or not they should know it. True as it may be that everyone knows what they should be, the fact is that it doesn't work that way.
a simple step in the right direction like the first person mentioned (using google) is the better step, not pointing out the lack of knowledge one thinks everyone should know.
and to end it guys, seriously... grow up

I find it hard to gauge interest with dilated pupils. It has given me positive results every once in a while, but it's effectiveness is still shady in my eyes (no pun intended).
