I think it happens to everyone, but its been happening to me a lot lately. There are certain things that I know I should do, and that would help my life/situation, but I get in moods that sometimes last DAYS, where I do not want to do ANYTHING. I just want to be as lazy as I can possibly be. Is it depression or something? Then i'll come out of it and work hard for a few days, and then fall back into it again.

What do you guys do to pull yourselves out of that fcked up state and into a productive positive one?

I guess I need to just use my willpower, but when I hit that state I feel like I am lost and should just give up. I hate it so much, but in reality it is comfortable, because there are no expectations, and are no ways to fail at anything.

Of course if you never fail then you can never succeed so its almost like death.

One more thing, I get MUCH more like this in the winter than the summer.

I have the same question as you animal. I used to just find a source of motivation. Now I'm not quite sure what it is anymore. It question my decisions. I feel lazy and weak and think about changing, but that's as far as I will go. It hurts and everynight I am pumped, but in the morning I am a tired slob again.

Sometimes I put up a strong front to people I meet, but inside I am hollow. I am just an empty shell.

I don't understand why this was moved to anything else....Its about self-improvement which to my understanding relates DIRECTLY to becoming a "Don Juan."

Just keep yourself busy.

Its the same advice I give when you get out of an LTR or find yourself spinning your wheels.

The reason why you feel like you're in a funk is that you're life right now is robotic. You wake up at 6am, get ready for school/work, drive the same route to school/work, do your 6-8 hour day, eat the same lunch, study the same hours, hit the gym at the same time, come home the same time, log on the computer the same time, and then go to bed.....ALL to do it AGAIN the next day, 5 times a week.

Of course you find yourself in a funk. I don't know if you are in school or in the working world...but trust me..it becomes MORE robotic when you hit the working world.

To bust out, you need to change it up. Join a club at your school/college. Get involved in volunteer projects. Go to your local community center and learn CPR, hit the gym if you already do not...there are a myriad of options for you bro.

And what you do doesn't have to involve women. In fact, worry little about women when you pick your activity. Too many guys want to take courses or do activities outside school/work just to pick up women...which is fine and dandy..but IMO, pretty hollow. The way to put substance in your character is to do things that ACTUALLY EXCITE YOU....w/ women or w/o...

The most important part, change up your life.

Right. However, read the descriptions under the different sections of the forum... DJ Discussion is for topics involving "meeting, dating, and attracting women." Your thread doesn't do any of the above. :p

That being said, I know exactly how you feel. Some days you'll just have a slump, and there really isn't anything you can do about it other than focus on what's going on in your life that's positive... Even if there isn't very much that's positive, it's important to find something. If you can't find anything, then it's up to you to make something start going right. I know you weren't expecting to hear any 'magic solutions', but just know that what you're experiencing is a normal part of most people's lives...

Sorry, but quotes fail to inspire me. They also don't mean anything. Life is too complex to be put into little quotes.

About where this thread it located. I believe it should be moved back to general discussion where more people will visit despite it not being about girls. This is about improvement, and getting out of this slump may be the key for many to having enough control and confidence to get the ladies.

Consider that.

Look at the end of the day, its all up to you. If you want to change... then change. Stop looking for things outside of yourself to motivate you.

Ok this is great. I'm much more inspired now. I guess it is all up to me to change and take action. I didn't know what I was waiting for.

What? You dont own this place, and I believe my attitude was perfectly fine. I'm looking to change whatever was wrong with it, and there is nothing wrong with that.

P.S. You're wrong.

your 16..
when i was 16 i used to have no idea about life. so i'll assume u don't either. i used to think i was hopeless and thought i wanted to kill myself (i never tried, never considered trying).

then things naturally change, the problems u think are big at 16 will tend to fix thereself. and there will be much bigger problems, but they'll also seem much more manageable..

thats my experience anyway.

but take this on board. most people won't consider trying to improve thereselves until atleast 18, you've found this site now, take as much from it as u can and u'll be far ahead of everyone else, and quit *****ing.
