Question for military gamers...how does the army use video games to teach their soldiers things like discipline, willpower during combat, and your perception?

I mean, some kid who's great at HALO is probably going to wet his pants and start crying when the shells start flying, so he's not going to make a great candidate for a soldier.

They don't. I never said we used video games to learn discipline, willpower etc.

We used it for basic squad strategies.

Oh no, please.

Heres what i think. This PUA videogame would be the perfect excuse for NOT going out and experimenting in the real world. I could see alot of very lonely guys thinking that, because they "own" at >insert name for videogame< their skills will transfer over into their real lives like a friend of mine who, although he is admitedly good at Halo, thinks because he is proficient at the sniper rifle in a VIDEOGAME he is qualified to be a a sniper here in what we call REALITY. In short - he is a prick.

Overall its a pretty silly idea.
Bring him to a 100 yard range. Give him something in a nice .308. Tell him to hit a target at 100 yards shooting standing unsupported. After the round(s) are expelled check the target. Stand back and laugh. Problem solved.

Bump!

I was playing this game at :
http://www.armorgames.com/games/lovehinasimdaterpg.html

got me thinking more on the "dating game" subject,

I think it would be cool to make a simular game as the one above,
as long as it's funny and teaches stuff.I know you can't have every
possible outcome ect, but you can still teach things like
what NOT to do, also giving ideas about what to start conversations with
and use of ****y-funny.

They already have dating sims games,
I say make one that acually teaches REALITY!
Not the nice guy supplicator reality~

And people are gona sit on theyr azz's anyways
when it's night or when there is nothing open ect ,
so might as well make the best of the non-sarging time.

Another point is you can add stuff from the dj bible into it
and the newbies can just play the game a few times and
learn from visual examples instead of dead boring txt.

And if you don't like video games, just don't play it.

so whatever~
just my 2 cents.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

As stupid as it may sound, when I was in the army we would test out squad tactics by playing Desert Storm Conflict on XBOX ( I was always the black/indie guy with the radio haha). We would set it to 'realistic' mode and split the screen into 4 player mode. It was perfect to test out CQB and urban warfare strategies.

After playing it every night for 2 weeks, our squad wooped ass on the practise field.

And yeah, the US military also uses video games to train its commanders/soliders in basic squad tactitcs.
Interesting. We always used paintball/Simmunitions for CQB training. I gues the PUA equivalent of that would be to try out lines on your sister.. :D
