PUA/mASF vs Don Juan

I'm a long time mASF lurker, but I'm new to the DJ Forum. What attracted me here was that I might possibly find a Malaysian wingman.

But I'm curious, what's the fundamental difference between PUA's and DJ's?

I see a lot of post in the "General Discussion" forum regarding problem's with girlfriend's, or wanting what they *can't* have. Is that part and parcel of being a DJ?

While I'm aware that the DJ forum is graced by his eminence, Juggler (wassup!), I was wondering if there are any other High Profile, Seen-in-the-field DJ's.

No, no hero worshipping, but I just really want to know if you guys are the real deal.

I know mASF/RSD/Mystery Method is for real. I've met up with two RSD instructors IRL (you know who you are. You guys rock!)

I hope I don't attract any flames. No point flaming an ignorant newbie.

I think the big difference between this and mASF is that the focus is more on self improvement and developing a positive attitude rather than seduction techniques.

However, there are so many conflicting views, aims and styles on this board, there's no definitive interpretation. I guess most people follow the advice that is most relevant to what they want to achieve, and for many that's the same as the mASF/PUA path.

To me, a PUA is a successful AFC.
They usually start off as AFC's, get hurt and transform themselves into PUA's.... the ironic thing is that the overall goal is the same for a PUA and an AFC: WOMEN!

A DJ does not need women, and people here often forget that so the two terms get mixed up. A DJ is more about overall self-improvement, a DJ should be able to conquer a corporation or a woman, or anything else he wants with ease and calmness, he is always in control of the situation, or at least himself.

That's just my view on it... a PUA can get women, a DJ can get whatever he wants and is the "real deal".

As far as the DJ vs PUA thang, lemme break it down...

all PUAs are DJs, but not all DJs are PUAs.

The beauty of the Don Juan ideology is the fact that you can be your own man. This means you can be a fast seducer of many women, or someone with an LTR in mind. Basically its all about how to handle your life and women.

Although we use some of the terminology you are familiar with (C&F, AFC, etc) the SoSuave approach is a lot less methodical/scientific. Here the focus is more on the Inner Game >>Self Improvement aspects of seduction.

WE got good posters but most of them don't frequent here as much. Every now and then Pook stops by and drops a great post but for the most part the greats are gone and some of the current people are starting to emerge. I'd reccomend u stay on one site or risk turning urself in2 a KJ

You need both. The DJ forum gets too philosophical with this "Feel the Force, Luke...." kind of zen-buddhist bullshyt. The mASF forum gives you ways to actually build concrete results for yourself - at first it's a matter of trial and error and repeasted crash-n-burns, until you figure out what works for you.


The drawback is that sometimes you get caught up in accumulating all these 'tricks' into your arsenal that you lose a healthy balance. A man should know the little tricks to manipulate and push the buttons of women, but he should also remember that being a GOOD PERSON is important. A man can't feel good about himself without ethic, values, and a sense of himself. I see many PUAs end up like robots - after the 137th lay, what else do you have to live for? Puzzy is puzzy - once you hit enough different ones, they're all the same. A man needs a bigger purpose in life, which what the DJ forum helps you see, if you can be bothered to shift thru the MOUNTAINS of detritus dumped by 15-18 year old children with oneitis and an acne problem.

ha, follow the basic rules and get out there and learn. Who cares about PUA, or Don Juan. These are just rediculous names. Once u learn the basics get out there and socialise like you have never done before.

A man does not need a woman for survival, but does in order to procreate or obtain sexual gratification. If you want to classify that as a "want", then that's ok with me, but I have no problem admitting that a woman is necessary for me to be satisfied with life.
