Everyone loves music don't they? Heh of course they do..atleast I think they do

Well anyway...

Here in the Midwest (not Chicagoland though) people don't listen to a variety of music that is outside the halls of (rap, rock, and mainstream, etc).

I listen to a genre of trance music known as psytrance. People are like "wtf" when i tell em'

hmmm don't get it heh.

Well whats up with this anyway? I've had the girls in my car and we were cruisin' and they seemed to be confused with my choice of music. Oh well.

Now I am not changing what I listen to or playing crap that they like and I don't, but what advice can you so-called playas give me? In my opinion I'd just throw some "Swisha House" rap dudes in the cd player and call it a day.

Everyone likes rap these days don't they?

Besides, taste in music is something you should never have to change. Compromise once in a while, maybe.

And you're right, it's so hard trying to explain your taste in music to other people! I've tried to convert all my friends, but none of them can get their head around it. It's just a little too unconventional for most people.

dude I have been writing trance/house/breaks for the past 5yrs... its my soul... No one I meet is into it when I first meet them. But by the end of the night they WILL atleast respect me for liking it... They can tell i'm passionate about it.. And I usually can sell people on it as well.

If you really like it, dont hide it.

If you're with a girl and she states she doesnt like the music your listening to give her a look like she is crazy (****y+funny). Get into the music and let her know that you dig it so much her saying **** isnt really gonna change anything . she will respect you for having the balls to go against her, and she will think its cute that you care about something so deeply...
of course dont be a horses a$$ about it... dont suddenly turn it up all obnoxious and yell "fvck you b!tch this is my car!"
Just let her know that you're a PERSON and you have a WORLD that you created and live in. She has to respect that, if she doesnt that fvck her anyhow, at that point I probably would turn it up loud... VERY LOUD!!!

im a rap/r n b kinda guy...but im open to all kinds of music...even country (but i dont hear it that often haha)....i used to say "i like all kinds of music, except country" because thats wut everyone else said, but i dont hav a problem with it really. the best musicians know that u need to be open to all kinds of music and i think its also a good trait to hav even if u dont play music

if the goa/psy trance doesnt mesh well with you try giving the progressive or uplifting trance a try... and if still that doesnt work then I recommend Dnb or breaks!

Sarcasm! But still Trance is one of my favorites I like Psy/Goa as well. I produce Trance/House/Breaks as a hobby. I used to Spin nothing but Trance, Progressive, Hard House, etc….. I still do when I get the chance!

I dig most house and trance, but I HATE most techno and rave. Especially that bullshiznite crap that is usually 170-2250 bbm. That stuff gives me a headache!!

And people who think all electronic music is "techno" are nothing but ignorant. If you listen closely, you can distinguish the major styles from one another.

Example, if you listen to break beat house and then throw some classic Hallucinogen (Simon Posford) in and turn that up, unless you are completely devoid of ear drums, you should be be able to distinguish at least beat and rhythm of the song.

If your into psy you might wanna try listening to some IDM - Aphex twin, µ-ziq etc. A mate of mine whos into psy got me into IDM, you'll probably like it. It's kinda similar. PM if you want some choones

LOL. That's not the best way to do it but it may be more satisfying.

One girl I had with me in the car teased me for listening to rave music. I just looked over at her and flipped her off.

Especially with music, it's a taste you aquire over time, and if it's something you're really into, then you know your stuff about that topic. Other people having a problem with it just shows their ignorance and being closeminded.

That aint Techno thats Hardcore. Only gamers hopped up on caffeine really listen to that sh*t though and hence any hardcore events are super c0ckfests.

I used to be heavy into the trance but then got annoyed at the ever increasing length of the breakdowns and over commercialisation. I could never get into psytrance/goa.

The only good clubs I know that play good electro house or clash are all gay clubs... gotta hand it to those silly faggots, they know good music!
