I absolutely disagree with the closing of the political threads.

We are part of this world, part of this society, and we as DJs must increase our knowledge and participation ! Preventing political discussions is absolutely against DJ principles.

Oh, I am SO sure that the discussions were forbidden JUST because there were critics to the US ! I am very sad that the moderators of this "anything else" forum are so into the Bush policies, and want to prevent anyone who disagrees of giving their opinion publically.

Ah, and deleting this thread is PURE censorship.

Wait a minute, let me get this straight.

You think that the moderators banned political discussions because of anti-american sentiment? Gimme a break. They were closed because people were acting likie idiots, and that is certainly not beyond the posters on this board.

This is a rather intelligent wayto get around the rule and start a political thread. You accuse the mods of taking one side, someone might start defending them and the view, you think they have, and the political discussion, Anything-else-forum-style is finished. If the mods delete it, they are pathetic losers, who cannot take criticism.
Not a bad move, only, why do we so desperately need those discussions here? There are forums, that are only for that and no other purpose. Furthermore, anything people have to say about the topics has been said, now they are only talking about each other, and how stupid/manipulated/cruel/ignoring the facts/trollish... the others are.

Well, the staff did take one side: their side. Anyway, political discussions are banned indefinitely. There's no reason to whine about not having them... You have far better things to do with your time.

Get a clue, man... the mods here have no love for the US.

But, to be fair moderators, they have to either permit all points of view, or none.

Actually we don't care about what you say about any country.

It's what you say to each other that we care about.

The political discussions became too personal and at least 6 posters attacked each other on a personal level. Warnings were issued and at least 2 posters were banned for fighting. The fighting still continued.

That's also why the chat room was removed.

This is a community of DJ's. We are going to keep it that way.

Personally I am glad that that phase is over. Now it seems more peaceful and topics can be geared towards the real reason why Don Juan Forum was created in the first place.

If I want to watch political debates I'll watch TV, or listen to talk radio. If I want topics on how to get and keep a woman, you guess it...

Ah, and deleting this thread is PURE censorship.
This isn't your message board. Sosuave.com owns it, and their moderators are free to delete anything they deem fit, INCLUDING your post and this thread if they want to.

Legally you have no recourse. Start your own message board and you can post anything you want.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

My personal opinion is that the political discussions didn't hurt anyone who didn't want to get involved. Everyone knew what they were doing when getting into politics, and if some people took the insults personally, that's their loss. But I still think that banning all political discussions is a bit harsh (check the Voltaire quote in my sig ;))

But Pedro, you're going too far. To accuse the mods of being biased is just stupid. Most mods didn't participate in these discussions at all. I think that this place has the best mods of all internet forums where I've been.

And, like someone said, this place is really about DJ'ing. If Allen and the mods really want us to get back to "the basics" that bad, then we might just as well do that, eh? Altough I enjoyed the little political flame-wars, they didn't really benefit anyone, so it doesn't really matter even if they go.

I thought this was the dumbest thing you've said yet, Pedro. Of course, it is censorship! That's what moderators do! They censor material they deem inappropriate.
