Hi guys

I've been seeing this girl for a year in a long distance relationship and I want to ask her to marry me. The thing is, I want to do something original and new, not to do it in a resturaunt or whatever.

She's a big fan of friends, and I'd like to do it in a museum, filled with lillies and candles, but, assuming thats out of the question, does anyone have any ideas on how to make the proposal unique?

Cheers

I don't know but don't flame the guy over long distance.

Take any scenario, for instance a guy could date a hometown sweetheart for 10 years and she lives in the same town as him for that time, they get married, a few years later get a divorce.

Or take a guy that meets a girl on a cruise and 2 weeks later proposes. They stay married for 50 years.

The circumstances are unpredictable. It matters more how people evolve together.

I certainly haven't figured it out, my long distance girlfriend really ****ing broke my heart. All was well and she pulled the plug. Obviously alot of **** goes into that, but why flame people.

PEOPLE ARE GETTING TO BECOME MORE AND MORE OF AHOLES ON HERE. Do we really know the circumstances of this guys life? Quit ****ing being judgmental everyone. If you can't offer anything constructive than SHUT THE FVCK UP

(Not that what i offered was necessarily constructive either)

I knew the instant I read the title to this thread that Ragnarok would get flamed. I have seen the majority of the (male half) of a restaurant staff discreetly mock a guy while the guy was proposing to a woman in the restaurant, and it was a nice restaurant. Misogyny runs deep within many men.

I have always thought that proposing (or tying the knot) while skydiving would be funny and the ultimate of novelty, although the logistics have never been favorable. Proposing while snorkeling would also be novel, although with equally dismal logistics. I have two sisters who are both married, and for my younger sister her then-boyfriend arranged a complex plan whereby he suprised her with an airline trip to New York City under the guise of it being for her birthday, and he then during their trip he popped the question during one of those horse carriage rides through Central Park (or something along those lines.) The then-boyfriend considered proposing on the airline flight over to New York, having the pilot make a special announcement on the flight to set the moment, but for whatever reason he backed out of that idea.
