I'd like to know where that rhetoric was when she decided to respond to his insult with a swift smack to the face. Don't apply the standard to the female, but apply it doubly to the man. Oi vay.

Hard to tell exactly who started it. They had words, he did something with his hand, started to walk away while she was pondering what to do, then she definitely escalated things though with throwing the drink on him. I'd say they're both idiots and both got what they deserved. She got put on her butt, which served as a nice reality check not to escalate violence on drunk people who are bigger than you, and he probably got roughed up or arrested for knocking her over.

How do you handle situations like this? Easy, you disqualify them from happening in the first place by managing logistics meticulously and befriending everyone. Instead this douchebag probably did something to piss her off, like hitting on her too directly and then called her a lesbian or something when she turned him down. I've seen this stereotypical situation too many times to count.

I'm not siding with either one of them. They both appear to be low-class losers who were rejected from the Jersey Shore.

As for disqualifying objections, it's classic Adam Lyons. For example, a lot of guys get jammed up when a woman's friends arrive mid-set and **** up the logistics or one of the friends is an ******* to the guy because he didn't plan for the contingency of having ot meet her friends, who may or may not be please to see her talking to some random dude. You avoid this mess from the get go by asking her who she's there with, and when she says she's meeting friends you tell her she should introduce you. Bonus points if you ask her their names and remember. When the friends show up you acknoledge them, say Oh, you must be _____. We were jsut talking about you. nice to meet you." basically killing them with kindness, but also dominating the social situation with tons of social acuity. This sort of proactive behavior disqualifies the objections of "who is this guy hitting on my girlfriend? I'll show him!" regardless of it's just a girl...friend of hers or her actual boyfriend.
