Been taking fish oil most of my adult life, and yea it helps, but there's no way my joints can handle the weights of my youth any more...
Perhaps your hormonal profile is declining. But you don't need HRT, right? That's for the unsavory ;)

Fvck that brother, I'm not withering away into an old, frail man. IF age wants to take me out, it better come big and come swinging.

5'8" and 190 is like being 6'2" and 220. Decent amount of muscle if it's all muscle.
It was...I looked like a linebacker and used to wear Nike drifits because my abs showed through them like slabs of ribs...

Lots of lower body weight my legs/glutes were bodybuilder jacked...

Yes, 50 pound with one arm (100 pounds as you hold two) is heavy curling. That's the heaviest dumbbell in my set. Are you saying you curl with 80s? Those are for shrugs.

I'd like to arm wrestle you. I was the strongest arm wrestler in my high school, and am stronger now, and you're pretending I'm below average strength. You're talking out your as-s. Show us a video of you curling 50lb 10 times with one arm.

Sorry if my physique will conceivably only compare to the greatest NFL player of all time and not the most jacked NFL player of all time.

Oh, and sorry that my HB9 20 year old only stayed with me 9 months.

It might be that you guys have impossibly high standards. I wonder if you are living those standards or simply holding me to them.

You're talking about that "I won 5 Super Bowls" guy? The "I won Super Bowls at age 37 and age 39" guy? Let me guess: you wanted Seattle and Atlanta to win.
This kid is 16 years old and weighs 160 pounds and he's curling 50 pound dumbells. He's skinny but I'd say he is very strong for his age.

Anyway my point is that no one here is lieing to you and trying to make you look bad, we're just giving you a reality check.

Good for him. He is as strong as me. Are you? Show us photos of YOU doing it.

Today I asked my trainer: "Do people curl 50 pound dumbells with one arm?" He said "No, I discourage that because it is too much strain on the joints".

When I graduated high school I was 6'5" 170 with a 34 inch waist.

Today, 30 years later, I am 6'5" 215 with a 33 inch waist.

im a 33 year old man I don't qualify myself to others. Did when I was younger but I have worked on my self esteem since then.

I don't care whether you think I can curl 50's or not that wasn't my point but your insecurity is STILL making you see it as an attack against you. I mean seriously you are ridiculous, you're like a child in a 40 odd year olds body. If said I had a higher wattage microwave than you, you would probably get offended and ask me to prove it with pictures.

And for the record If you actually read my posts again you will see that I have commended you a few times on your weight loss, so I don't know why you are reiterating that to me.

That's a ridiculous statement. It's all relative.

@marmel75 talked about strength levels, and I said curling 50 was a measure of strength, and I thought you said it wasn't.

Strength was never my problem, despite the fact I was never muscular.

My muscle and fat levels always seemed to increase and decrease together, probably because carrying around extra fat makes you bigger. You might drop fat quickly and cut up but then the muscle level goes down, at least before I worked out.

@mrgoodstuff @SteR

You guys are big boys. I'm 6'1 190, but the extreme muscle development (due to heavy compound lifts) and 29 inch waist gives the illusion that I am much heavier.

I'm not as big as I used to be, nor as strict with my diet. I was a chubby kid so went too far in the opposite direction when I got into lifting, to the point of obsession. I think that's the reason I'm a bit more relaxed about it now.. that phase has passed..

Curling is nobody's measure of strength besides yours perhaps.

Go do some deadlifts, weighted pull ups, squats, bench presses, barbell rows or any other compound lift if you want to measure strength.

But if you are determined to choose curls as a strength marker, I put your info into the calculator and I regret to tell you your strength level based on that one lift is in the 39th percentile.

I billed out 3600 hours this year, and had two happy bosses. That's 72 hours per week (6 12 hours days), with zero sick days. All while going to the gym.

That's another way to measure strength.
