Say what you will about Facebook, but it's great when it comes to seeing the general mindset of the female species in any particular generation.
In the last year, 36 girls on my Facebook between the ages of 18-21 have become pregnant. Boasting about it like they're a celebrity in an interview with Ok or Hello magazine..
None of these people were married. Or engaged. In fact 7 of them had been together less than a year. A lot of the posts referred to they are having their "first" baby meaning obviously they plan on more.
Girls are out deliberately getting pregnant the moment their teenage years end/are ending and they have to take responsibility, because they know they will have trapped a man to take care of them. This in no way suggests the woman will be faithful to the man; all but two of these pregnancies were an 'accident' the guys were not too happy about. One guy was 19 and about to go to university; all of that crashed and burned. These woman have no care about how what they do affects their partner (in one case, a partner of six weeks!).
It's disgusting. Let's discuss.
Anyone else noticed this?
