Based on my ACT score, I am at 150, which BrainMogs 999/1000 of folks.
I'm not impressed. IQ is like an empty measuring cup. Until you do something with it, you're like a Lamborghini on wooden blocks.

I have no idea, but I'd be very surprised if it's above 110-115. Yes, I am aware of the Dunning Kruger effect.

If you need to take an IQ test or feel the need to know or tell the world your IQ, then you lack true intelligence.
That has more to do with wisdom...IQ measures general intelligence "G" which is absolutely real. The validity of the test themselves is something to consider and I question that myself, but general intelligence is absolutely a thing and it's highly correlated with life success although I have heard that very high IQ people have some unique disadvantages too.

If you know your IQ is 105 you'll know to not bother trying to become a software engineer, because you're quite literally not smart enough. It's not a self-limiting belief to recognize your actual limits.

I know people with high IQs that would scoff at being software engineers due to not being mentally dedicated to schooling. I also know people with lower or average IQ in similar higher skilled professions because they had the discipline and resources to make it through school. Their abilities are limited though, but they still made it.

You know what their IQs are? You can't possibly claim to intuit everyones IQ to a T.

And yes, high IQ people can be lazy, and low IQ people can be hard working. So what, that has nothing to do with anything. That doesn't mean the people in your examples have the optimal jobs for themselves. You don't want to the smartest person in the room nor do you want to be the dumbest.

I think most folks nowadays have never truly had IQ tests, it was much more common for bommers and gen x to have had IQ tests - real ones - not the online BS ones. Here are some IQ's:
  1. Albert Einstein: While Einstein never took a modern IQ test, estimates suggest that he had an IQ of around 160.
  2. Stephen Hawking: Like Einstein, Stephen Hawking is believed to have had an IQ of around 160.
  3. Leonardo da Vinci: Though IQ testing didn't exist in the Renaissance, some experts have retroactively estimated da Vinci's IQ to be around 180-190, based on historical accounts of his abilities.
  4. Marilyn vos Savant: Listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest IQ (reported to be between 228 and 230), she is best known for her "Ask Marilyn" column in Parade magazine.
  5. Magnus Carlsen: The Norwegian chess Grandmaster reportedly has an IQ of 190.
  6. Terence Tao: A mathematician who has made significant contributions to a variety of areas in mathematics, Tao reportedly has an IQ of around 220-230.
  7. Christopher Hirata: A child prodigy who was working with NASA at age 16, Hirata reportedly has an IQ of around 225.
  8. Isaac Newton: Although IQ tests were not available in the 17th century, Newton's IQ has been estimated to be around 160-170 based on historical accounts.
  9. Judit Polgár: Considered the strongest female chess player of all time, Polgár is reported to have an IQ of around 170.
  10. James Woods: The American actor reportedly has an IQ of 180.
  11. Sharon Stone: The actress is reported to have an IQ of 154.
  12. Bill Gates: Although not confirmed, it's widely speculated that Gates has an IQ of around 160.

Honestly changes by which test I do bro, some are 116 whilst others are as high as 128. It's not really consistent IMO

These types of test are more useful, especially for knowing your own strengths and weaknesses. I'm not at all surprised that my visual memory is horrible.

Here are my results from doing each test just once, whole thing only took about 15 min. For anyone else who ends up doing this, note that 50 percentile is not average, in fact you could even say a 40th percentile is decent. Some statistician can explain it better than me...

I must have a gift for this: I had my GF and 2 friends take an IQ test and I gave them my predictive range (like 5-point increments 120-125) and I was correct on all 3. In addition, I have the ability to read someone and analyze their personality, strength/weaknesses pretty quickly too.
So name the top posters that understand women the most?

I'd never post my IQ online.
I do know it, and also my Wechsler percentile. When I was at Uni, 24 of us from my year were sent for separate Stanford-Binet and Wechsler tests.

Thing is.... the VAST majority of people who post a high IQ number, are either exaggerating, or they've done an online test.
Online tests are seriously flawed - Like I said, I know my numbers, but I can routinely score way above my known numbers doing those online tests.

Also, anyone who posts a high number** will be universally judged to be lying, regardless of whether it's the truth.

**O(bvious jokes notwithstanding.
