Look at cave drawings from the Neanderthal era. Many of them were done in a movie-frame style of animation across the wall. They would depict the story, frame-by-frame, of a buffalo kill, for example. The concept of flip-card movies has been known for centuries.

Now, can you explain why an obviously frivolous, just-for-fun thread would elicit such serious, literal responses?

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

Hahaha... I think your recent response was FAR more serious than my extremely legit question.

You make a post asking people for videos, saying "must have been made any time between 1600 and 1959". I don't think it's that ridiculous for me to question what you meant when the first film was created in the mid-late 1800s.

Now maybe you can explain how I can post Neanderthal cave drawings to sosuave.net?

Pdubb75, keep watching this thread. You might get it eventually.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

GREAT find, Damage. I never knew about that one. Gotta get me some of that "Nose Powder".

That's an incredible restoration job they did on this film. I almost prefer it a little scratched up and in fast-motion.

I once attended a stunning showing of Chaplain's masterpiece, "City Lights". It was a newly restored, flawless print, all actors moving at normal speed, with a live orchestra playing the original music Chaplain himself wrote for this film.

In other words, I experienced the film exactly like the audience back then did (in normal speed with a new print and live music) and the experience was positively stunning. The power of that film is lost on us today because of the quick, mechanical movements, the wrong sound track, and the tiny TVs we watch them on. Chaplain's genius came to a head on that film.
